Whipenrod -> Tens Units & other electrical stuff (9/29/2004 7:46:07 PM)

Can anyone describe the sensations one gets from a tens or a tens-type unit?
Is it sexually arrousing, painful, ticklish, satisfying...? Where do you put it/How do people use it in a scene? Is it masturbatory in nature? What does it feel like?

I am happy with my violet wand (love it!) but I realized I have no experience with a tens unit.

What am I missing? Please someone fill me in.

Thanks,

To me it feels like a deep warm vibration, only painful if turned almost to max. I have used it on my nips (in another thread some warn not to have the circuit cross your heart) and pussy but not directly on the clit. My Dom used it on his penis and balls. We both enjoyed the sensation and found it arousing. I have also used it during masturbation. Here are two other thread on it:

tens unit

difference between tens and violet wand

Well, remember tens units are usually prescribed by doctors. To treat ailments.
Relatively easy to come by if you have 30 dollars or so.
Myself, I love electricity but tens units and violet wands to little for me.
I need more imaginative toys myself. I have known tens junkies to actually turn it up to the max and burn holes in their skin.

Its just a numbing sensation to me. Sort of dull. Lifeless almost. But again I must stress I'm not normal when it comes to electricity.

I'm the child who used to go to disneyland and my favorite thing to do was shove dimes into the "healed by electricity" machine. I still do it at dave and busters or wherever I can find a machine.

sunplayr -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (9/29/2004 11:16:26 PM)

I've had some experience with both the wand and TENS. I am lucky, lucky, lucky to have a Dom who not only has all the goodies that go with the TENS unit but the patience to guide me along and learn to enjoy it.

The TENS unit feels like hundreds of little needles. It is supposed to stimulate your muscles? Feels odd. I get orgasms from both nipple and clit stimulation with the TENS contacts but not earth shattering ones.

There is also a large, heavy dildo that goes with the unit. When pushed into the vagina and turned on it throbs deep in the g spot and when turned up can bring on very deep orgasms. It can also hurt.

Guess it depends on the person. Both of these toys are expensive. Remember that the best toys on earth are free.

Thanks bunches!
Proudsub and subforhire: thank you for the links. I will be sure and check those out.
Sunplayr: Yes, I know the best toys are free, but...!
Subforhire: I am curious--what is a 'more imaginative toy'?

I guess I am trying to 'broaden' my horizions here. Yes, some of the units I've seen are not too expensive, and some are just as pricy as my violet wand set. I am doing 'product research' right now, trying to see if something like this should be in my kit bag.
As I am not a quick orgasmer, I was also looking at it for that reason. I see that the company that also makes the expensive tens units also makes the Sybian orgasm machine, which I have experienced...yahooo!!!

Check out fuckingmachines.com just like the sybian but much cheaper.
You can also download little mpegs to watch it in action.

I like insertable electric toys. to me those are fun. I've really not seen any on the market.
However minds with vivid imaginations can build them.

dommemagnet -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (10/26/2004 10:42:27 AM)

try a search for peselectro.com. They sell a variety of insertable devices for men and women as well as some creative electrodes for use on/in the penis and testicles. I can't tell you how well they work (if at all) since mine was just delivered this morning but you can bet your electricity loving a--, i'll be able to tell you tomorrow.

Always remember, better living through science!!

BeachMystress -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (10/26/2004 11:29:37 AM)

The problem with the PES unit is that it is very expensive. You can get a TENS unit and a whole cadre of attachments for the price of the PES and one of their attachments..

stef -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (10/26/2004 11:44:22 AM)

The PES power box is incredibly overpriced for what it is, but their electrodes are very nice. If you're looking for more functionality than a generic TENS unit can provide, I would recommend an ErosTek control unit over the offerings of all other manufacturers.

BeachMystress -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (10/26/2004 12:07:07 PM)

I've also been told ErosTek is the way to go. My plan is to build my collection using my Rimba and TENS units for the time. Since pin to banana adapters make all of the TENS attachments usable with the ErosTek, at some point I'll probably trade up.

lilone2 -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (4/2/2005 8:22:24 AM)

You are right. The TENS unit should NOT be placed on the heart. I am a Physical therapist assistant and a switch and here are a few conderindications/ precautions for the use of TENS units for anyone who does not know much about them.

Conderindiactions (Meaning NEVER use on or If)

1.Pregnant * first 3 months NO lower Back*
2. On the carotid sinus *the pulsing area of ones neck where you take a pulse*
3. Cardiac Pacemaker * the Heart*
4. Areas of venous or arterial thrombosis * Blood clotted areas in the viens or arteries.

Precautions of use of the TENS

1. Cardiac Disease
2. impaired sensation of the body
3. Malignant Tumors
4. Skin irritation or open wounds

If your skin is sensitive you CAN cause electrical burns still with a TENS unit. If used and the person has a blood clot or hsitory of blood clots the TENS units can cause a breakage of the clot which can cause a heart attack or brain clot * Stroke* If suspected of pregnancy, the TENS units can cause a miscarriage.

Dont get me Wrong.. I LOVE TENS units. I love my job as well since I get to play with these units all the time, but safety comes first in everyone. Medical knowledge of these units are great. The Voilet wand is completely different in what kind of electrical stim transfered compared to a TENS. TENS are more deep and hits the nerves. Wands stimulate the upper layer of the dermal layers of the skin.

Enjoy and have fun all.

proudsub -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (4/2/2005 8:50:48 PM)

Thanks lilone. I'm still not clear on whether it is safe to use a tens on both nips at the same time.

lilone2 -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (4/3/2005 1:26:38 PM)

Proudsub.. no its not cause your heart is directly under your left breast. to be exact.. feel for your ribs.. find the seond one.. that is where your heart starts in location.. and count down to your fifth rib.. It should sit right under your left nipple. Plus with a TENS unit you have 2 pads per lead.. you SHOULD not put one on one breast/Arm/leg and the other on the opposite leg.. you will have electrical waves sent thru too much of your body at once.

For better effect of a TENS unit .. keeping each pad/lead close together you get a larger ZAP.

A thousand tongues or a thousand needles.

Usage thru the clit can be interesting.

Has anyone had any out of the ordinary usage?

Sure, and not harmful
take 2.99 get a nine volt battery, lick the business end and stick it on your clit.............it don't feel like that too much........

LOL
(but, perhaps 'tis enough............)

DarkSideOfThMoon -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (4/5/2006 11:31:00 AM)

Feels sort of like needles, can be painful when turned up high- is amazing on your clit

YORKIEWHITEROSE -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (4/29/2006 1:38:10 PM)

My Master has a violet wand and a ErosTek unit...........i find the sensations totally differant.  The wand is more on the surface but the ErosTek goes very deep, also because of the ability to programme the ErosTek i never know what is coming!!!!

The violet wand and ErosTek can also be used in conjunction with certain floggers and carbon canes which adds to the anticipation for me.............i dont know whether i'm going to receive electro charge or a hit with the cane or flogger or a combination both.

NorthernSwitch11 -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (6/19/2006 2:40:06 AM)

you can buy specific nipple clamps which are charged at both sides of each clamp, this way the current only flows through the nipples and not accross the chest as electricity will always take the shortest path.  I saw some somewhere but dont recall the site address.

MsEmma -> RE: Tens Units & other electrical stuff (6/21/2006 8:00:32 AM)

It would be great if we could buy them at these prices ..but they require a doctors prescription[:)]
