The reason why Sue Collin's and Olympia Snow are not neo-conservative is because the state their from is a progressive state. This is something the Republican's need to understand. The Northeast in general fairly progressive. In order for Republican's to win there, they need to meet someone in the middle.Scott Brown is a perfect example.MA is not going to vote for someone like Rand Paul, but they will vote for a Scott Brown.... I think the Republican's to be more accepting of people. They can just rely only on the neo-conservative,tea party or Holy Roller's for their vote.I suspect there are alot of Moderate's who would vote for the Republican's but get turned off by the far right extreme part of the party. It was the "Log Cabin" Republican's that are fighting for the 'Don't ask,Don't tell" law lifted.Yet it's the far right Republican's who are saying no... Define what a conservative is suppose to mean these day's?Is it truly less government, lower taxe's,more personal freedom? Or is being conservative meant to be meant only for the holy roller's?

Susan Collins and Olympia Snow ? No way in hell. These two are hated by conservatives and wouldn't stand a chance.

This is a major reason why Obama has a lock on a second term. Anyone acceptable to present republican primary voters is doomed in the general election.

Just look at the recent Senate campaigns to see.

The tea party screwed up in at least 2 states (Nevada and Delaware), and supported someone too conservative for those states. Any state who would keep reelecting Reid, and Biden are obviously so brain damaged, that they would never put a true conservative in office there. Do you realize that these recent deficit panel recommendations were soundly rejected by the democrats, and met with a response on how to get more money to spend, not less. They actually want to put another 15% tax on gasoline now, and don't forget the 1% financial transaction tax they would love to pass.

However, since politics is an unpredictable business, overall the Tea Party movement has been an overwhelming success. If they learn from this mistake, there will be no stopping us in 2012.

As to be expected, you are all lost without me.

Did you read the garbage wilbur wrote? The economy will improve....No thanks to the GOP or any other party....It will improve because of the Green party....lol

Is there anyone as simple as Wilbur?

This last election was not about a President that was unable to lead. It was about the economy. End of story.

If you look at the numbers, people want healthcare reform. It's coming.

When the next Presidential election occurs the economy will have improved.

The GOP is going to have to reconcile between electing a President and it's wild right wing tea baggers and hard core conservatives. Please Sara, run.

Another person without a grip on reality stated, "Tea Party movement has been an overwhelming success. That is not a truthful statement. They will be further marginalized as the economy improves.

Obama will have a second term. I am rarely wrong.

You claim that quite often here.

Pity it doesn't hold true.

Obama may win or lose depending on who is running on the Republican ticket. While I will admit Sarah Palin has certainly a huge fan base behind her,the reality is she probaly wouldn't win.Try someone like Mitt Romney, maybe even Susan Collin's or Olympia Snowe from Maine.

ROFL. The most recent similar advice from the left was that the GOP would only have a chance in the midterms if they moved to the left.

the Senate campaigns where the GOP picked up 6 seats and the DNP none? Where 2 "unelectable candidates" made runs in deep blue states and succeeded in forcing their opponents to the right? Where Obama was unwelcome anywhere where he could have made a difference?

Is it sand or shit you have to clean out of your ears once your remove your head from where it is?

You mean Tea Party favorites like Rand Paul and Marco Rubio, Ken? How doomed were they in the general?

Not agreeing with Ken's overall position, but come on Rich--he's obviously talking about the nation, while you're looking at state/districts.

No, Muse, I'm calling bullshit on a bullshitter. Ken wants to continue the liberal line that the Tea Party, and the growing number of people identifying themselves as "conservative" are a bunch of extremist, unelectable kooks, and I'm not going to let that stand. If you don't want to get in bed with him, then get out of the way.

Besides, aren't you the one who keeps saying all politics is local?

Actually I meant tea party favorites Christine O'Donnell, Joe Miller, Ken Buck and Sharon Angle as well as standard issue GOP nuts Carly Fiorina, Linda Mcmahon, John Raese and Dino Rossi.

The Mechanic at the Ford dealer's who changed my oil and rotated the tires last week could beat Obama!
Boy, Obama really "impressed" the Indians and Asians, didn't he?
He's an awful president!

He should have waved his voo-doo dick!

Then the entire world would have said, "You know, fuck our own interests, let's just do what the Americans want. They seem so nice."

Which is a self-fulfilling prophecy since you decided that long before he was ever elected.

Let's face reality, no matter what he does or does not do you will find a way to criticize it.

Now, mediocre president, fair enough. Falling short of promise, also fair enough. But even with a voodoo dick, some problems are persistent.
