I just drive, Sure its a thousand km from Melbourne to Sydney but the scenery is great and I always feel refreshed after a 12 hour drive.

My TSA is defective - the Terminator Sucking Agency. I don't do dick. So that means that guys can come here with guns and bombs, but we don't let the wimminfolk havum. They's dangerous enough. I'll suck the bombs and bullets right outta them.

Can’t the TSA government goon’s starts with something a little easier/simpler first? Like winning the “War on Drugs” or the winning the “War on Poverty”, or keeping our national boarders closed, then work their way up to shredding the Constitution that too many good men died protecting?  Fact: We can’t keep the prison safe from Weapons, Drugs and Cell Phones and this is with the prisoners being guarded and stripped search 24/7. Fact: Body scanners can’t detect items inside our body cavities. Fact: Body scanners x-rays are dangerous to your eyes and skins no matter what they tell you.  Who’s up for a cavity search now just to be little safer like our prisoners, come on it will only hurt for a while…. Better safe than letting that old Constitution Right's thingy get in our way…. I’m sure all the Vets who died in WW1 and WW2 won’t mind you handing it over. I just want the same treatment that Congress gets. No better, no Worse.  When was the last time you saw your Senator being x-rayed and searched?  nuff said...

This past weekend, I flew to New York (well, into Newark actually.. but thats not the point).

At Tampa airport, they sent me through the scanner.  No alarms went off, I was not detained, despite having bits of metal in parts of my body.

AND.. I was through security a LOT faster.

Did you miss the part about the scanner not being able to see anything within body cavities?

The scanners cannot see anything hiding behind something with the density of flesh. Keep your eyes peeled to those forums where people trade and spread scanner imagines. You're an inverse away from being naked! Perhaps you don't mind this but I do.

Lastly, the glaring problem with the scanners, other than no known facts about long term effects (not all radiation is created equal), or other than not being able to see inside you is that anything hidden under say... ballistics gel... is hidden. Enjoy weapons getting into the airport more easily!

Put simply, you're safer walking through a metal detector and past a bomb and drug dog.

Just a little fyi about the body scanners, and questions raised by s few scientists about their safety.
