I own a metal ball shackle (http://www.extremerestraints.com/dungeon-irons_19/metal-cock-and-ball-shackle_2059.html) that I wear around the base of my balls and absolutely love it. However, as you can see in the picture, there's a small gap where it comes together, as well as at the hinges. This has a tendency to cause a pinching that is rather painful (and not in a sexy way).

I would like to explore long-term wear of this device, but the pinching makes it almost impossible. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this device (or something similar) and might have a suggestion for avoiding the pinching. I've tried such things as putting tape over it to hide the gap, but I have to re-apply it every time I shower and it has a tendency to come undone if I'm working out, etc.

Anyway, I appreciate any thoughts anyone might have!

If you want one made to closer tolerances than the ones sold by Extreme Restraints, you're going to have to go the custom route. I would suggest talking to Chris at steelwerksextreme.com about making a device to your specifications. The man is a wizard when it comes to machine tools and will be able to give you exactly what you want, but it won't come cheap.

Looking at that picture it looks like the diameter of the padlock shaft is smaller than the opening eyes of the shackle. Increasing the size of the thru pin going thru the eyes would help. Possibly using and tightning the largest bolt and nut that will fit, then drilling a hole for a small padlock thru the bolt behind the nut.

perhaps line it with foam backed kid leather. Or sheepskin wool of course.

simplestsolution is to put a tube over the whole thing like a plastic hose pipe but at padlock fit a spacer tothe lock shank to close the gap in the ball lamp up

CB hinged backrings are basterds for nipping, users slidee folded clingfilm over te join to eliminateeffects change it daily.

why get another when thiss one just needs refining.

For a simple fix use elastic bands to keep the space where it comes together closed as this also reduces the movement of the hinge as well as cutting down on metallic noises.
