Since having found/having been found by my Master, my profile has reflected such. As a result i have received many messages from those who are still seeking, who have written simply to express that they had enjoyed reading the profile, knowing that it is possible to find what they are seeking at collarme, to say that they feel hopeful in knowing such, and to offer their congratulations to U/us.

The fact that one is no longer looking should not be reason for them to drop off of the site or fade into the background as if they no longer exist. i am no longer looking, and was only actively 'looking/seeking/searching' while registered at this site for barely 24 hours, yet i STILL am enjoying and finding my involvements as a member of collarme to be beneficial. For quite a while after registering at collarme, i read the forum threads at least daily and enjoyed viewing profiles of those who had posted in threads. Although it took a bit longer for me to actually decide to become active in posting, i always get a great deal of enjoyment in reading the opinions, beliefs, and views of others who post at the forum. It's always nice to have a picture or further information to relate to another's online Nick/ID. Sometimes it also serves as a concrete reminder that there is another REAL individual on the other side of the monitor. ( ... Computers can seem so impersonal at times. )

For these reasons, my profile will remain active.

If you have friends on the sites or you like to particpate on the message boards, why would you be done with your profile? Just change why you are here. Everyone doesn't have to be looking for someone. But I do think it is only polite to update your information, so people don't waste time contacting you regarding out of date information.

I see no reason to deactivate. It is a personal choice if one wants to keep it here or not. Updating should not be an issue either. It is common courtsey to the other participants of the site. Personally, to not do so goes against my ethics.

The profiles already have a "last on" field, so it's pretty easy to see who's not active. The only other thing which perhaps could help might be to add a "Looking or not" field, which chould be used as part of the search.

Personally, I'm not greatly bothered by wading through to find a proper match. I'm in Ohio, which is a big state, and I'm really finding that most of the wading has to do with those that are too far or too serious (for me at least.) Not that I begrudge them that.

I agree that the site is not just for looking. As it turns out, and somewhat unfortunately, most of my activity here has been on the message boards.

I maintain an active profile. Even though I am not looking for a relationship, I am interested in making friends. I also think it's nice to have a profile for people to look at if you post on the forms. At least I find it interesting to look at profiles after I have read what people have to say.

As for being bothered. I do get a percentage of stupid one liners. But also get some nice emails so I think it balances out.

Take care :)

No, we are not ALL part of the problem here - I am still actively searching for a sub/slave and so maintain my profile on the other side of CM, even as I am here on the boards - not everyone on the boards has been fortunate enough to have found their partner.
