I guess I'm easily amused but that is a classic.

Here's the whole article:

You can bet that pretty much every employer that realizes who he is, is gonna tell him to "fuck off" when he goes looking for a new job. A true piece of wisdom in the world of work says "don't burn your bridges".

Ah you're all laughter and light...

But seeing your location, it makes sense that you would underestimate the UK, most people here have a sense of humour... If not he can be self-employed and will possibly swamped with work.

Thank you for posting this I enjoyed the laugh and passed it on.

I found it to be especially interesting when compared to this thread.

It is about "Santa" being fired by Macys in San Francisco.

Love this!! "Not an appropriate message for a child, at least not at xmas time"

This was a for-real? If so, WIN!

If you look at the picture closely you will see a title
in the upper corner.  Thepoke.co.uk, a spoof news site.

Didn't actually check that out, a friend mailed it and I thought it was quite funny, though should have realized that if it had happened, all the papers would have written about it...

This makes sense. I was also wondering why a store named "Harrod's" was on a Christmas lights display.

It's a bit more than a store, I usually avoid it as it charges a lot more than other stores all for the pleasure of carrying your shopping out in a green bag with gold writing.

Makes for good pressies though, bring their overpriced tea or mugs to somebody as a souvenir... Oh they also have a nice selection of sweets, but the things I like there, clothes wise, they just seem to double the price. It's a bit like Harvey Nicks with attitude and steeper prices.

Don't get me wrong, great quality, but the prices are still simply over the top.

LOL, yes, your lunch there is possibly what a regular family spends for food in a week ;) I'm also one of those "souvenir" shoppers, too cheap to shop there...

Have you been to Fortnum & Mason? If you like food halls, you'd love them.

YAY Fortnum's!! Fabulous pastry, we had lunch there!

Whirlwind tour, but worthwhile.
