One of Ireland's leading programme makers/production houses are planning to looking into Fetishists/Swingers who travel abroad, and Irish involvement in it.

Basically, we want to travel with men or women who go abroad to swingers/fetish parties.

We can guarantee your anonymity, we can can disguise your voice, absolute discretion will be observed throughout the whole process and expenses will be covered.

We want to take a look at a side of life rarely seen first-hand. We have no interest in demonising or judging the people who take part. This will be a very different, very exciting project - and the first of it's kind in Ireland.

Interested? Post a reply here, or email me at [email address removed].

Again, we will protect your identity at ever step. If that's not a concern, then we're happy for you to appear in the documentary as yourself. This is 100% legit. I look forward to hearing from you.

Ah, sorry. I had no idea. Genuine mistake. Apologies.

The documentary is very real, though, and I need to get the message put there. Do you have any suggestions as to how I could do that? Could you perhaps email some of your members that may be interested with my post and details?

I'd really appreciate the help.

Warm regards,

D.

Seriously??

Some total unknown asks a complete stranger to solicit for participants in a "documentary" on his behalf and expects help?

You seriously need to rethink your research skills mate!

First of all, this is NOT a swingers site. If you'd spent any time doing ANY research at all, you'd have seen that right from the start.

Secondly, we take our privacy really seriously - which is why the site mods are likely to be on your arse pretty damn quickly for your 'mistakes'.

Thirdly - I have done your job. Any half-decent researcher would check out TOS BEFORE posting any kind of advert. It's basic, and if you are trained in research/journalism you should have covered that in your basic legal training part of the course.

Personally I wouldn't trust you as far as I could spit you, but that's just my opinion.

I am one of the leading documentary makers in my field, and every move I makes is informed by experience the likes of which there is no possibility that you have.

I appreciate you taking the time to be so uselessly passive aggressive.

Happy Christmas,

How does that work then? I've worked as a journalist for quite a while, every single time we posted anywhere to look for volunteers or research, we had to contact the site owners if it is alright with them, run the "ad" past them and get approval, it's standard procedure, especially since you aren't doing investigative journalism but you are looking for willing participants. Also it is quite customary to name the publication - in your case the production company - if it is so leading, nothing to be ashamed of, but possible participants should have that information ready to make an informed choice.

So sorry, did your experience stop you from following proper procedures?

There is the word of somebody who doesn't identify himself or whoever he works for that identities will be protected and it's legit, ho hum, yes we should trust everything somebody says on the net... Sorry, your approach sounds a bit like the Jerry Springer approach, but even his researches always identify themselves, give a number one can call to verify and a legit email (usually not an anonymous gmail addy).

On a personal note, anybody who doesn't know the difference between BDSM (fetishes are often a part of it) and swingers hasn't done the most basic research and I wouldn't trust them with my identity or to make an unbiased documentary...

In case you want to get the word out, I would suggest you approach a few of the party organizers in Dublin, talk to them, get their approval (you know the usual steps one takes when doing legit research) and start from there, maybe they'd be willing to let you put notes up in their venues, once you convinced them that it is all legit...

Hah, this is one fiesty forum.

First and foremost, I understand the difference between BDSM and swinging, but, given some people are involved in both, I opted to widen my net a little.

Contact and verification are no issue, either. Anybody who's interested just needs to PM me. I'd be happy to tell which company and offer a contact number.

Thanks for you comment,

D.

Looks to me you are going for the titillating approach with "Wow, look at them and what they do" for a "broader" audience and not too many people into BDSM are swingers, if they are they often do not combine the two, contrary to popular belief most BDSM parties don't tend to be orgies open to all and sundry, in fact the venues that cater to the "swinger" crowd, most BDSM people tend to not frequent those all that much.

You are looking for people, you need to convince them and make sure they feel they don't need to worry about privacy issues, that it's all legit, that it's not going to be a mockery of their chosen lifestyle, etc. Otherwise why should they contact you?

As somebody pointed out, what you are doing is against the rules of this board, furthermore this board is a bit US centric, if you did research you would see that there are other places that are more focused on Europe or indeed Ireland, then contact the organizers of the boards and introduce yourself properly, they will want to check you out before allowing you to post something, so it would be beneficial for your plight to also offer previous work. Once the organizers OK such a posting, you're up an in the running. Again it's simply following proper procedures.

No offense to you, but if this is your documentary, why are you asking other people to do your work for you?

Every person on this site has the same exact ability to use the search features.  If I were you, I would go to the home page, select Ireland for the country, and start reading/searching profiles that included "swinging" as an interest.  This would allow you to find the folks where there is a cross over, so you could contact them directly.  You may also find some folks in the swinger lifestyle by cross referencing the word "poly".  (Not saying all poly folks are also swingers, as I'm certainly not, but you may find a small cross section.)

Actually, rather than using this site, I'd be looking for swingers groups, organizations, and clubs in Ireland.  Talk to people and see if they have any upcoming travel plans and pitch the idea directly to them.  You may also want to contact major clubs here to see when their major events are held that tend to draw people from other locations.

Of course, there could possibly be a reason why a common sense approach such as this wouldn't work that you are aware of.  Other than that, you could do your own job instead of asking other people to do it for you.
