Having worked in a tattoo and piercing studio, the truth I've consistently heard, witnessed, and experienced first hand is....Some nipples piercings never heal completely. Full usage? Maybe never... The guy told you they'd heal in 6 weeks? Keep dreaming. The outsides of the holes, maybe. Through and through healed? No way, unless you're a super-fast healer, or have really thin, small nipples. Weights? I wouldn't even dream of it, unless you were initially pierced with a 10 gauge or larger. I've consistently seen what's called, "the cheese cutter effect", in people who've attempted to put too much weight on too small of a surface area, such as a 14 gauge. This causes tissue damage, ripping, migration, and scarring. Not to mention starting you back at square one on your healing, if any of those occur. If you weren't initially pierced with a 10 guage or bigger, I'd definitely stretch up to at least a 10 before attempting weights. Stretching could take months in itself. Good luck. As always, YMMV.
