a dish my grams calls capellini pomodoro..... Capellini is angel hair pasta and it is then covered in a sundried tomato sauce and served with diced tomatos to garnish.....

Och in Scotland it's a good old plate full of Mince and Tatties with a drop of haggis. MMm My mouth is watering now as I leave you all to ponder on what the Scots eat lol

Homemade from scratch lasagna, I mean the noodles are homemade everything is homemade my grams used to see a friend who had cattle they slaughtered one took it to a butcher and she got the meat done just right..... Homemade Lasagna

Insalata caprese, with fresh heirloom tomatoes, fragrant basil, soft goats milk mozzarella, good olive oil, kosher salt, coarse-ground black pepper, and aged balsamic vinegar. Consumed with cheap but delicious shiraz.

Take out the shiraz replace it with oh lets say reisling and I would be more than happy to try it....

No pondering here. I lived in Scotland and my father is first generation full Scottish American. I was raised on it. [:)]

Oh hell yeah, great to cook with as well! I lived just outside Newcastle for a time and there was a baker making an awesome bread with it.
