I actually had the opportunity to experience -55 F. (actual temperature) when I lived in Montana. It's pretty weird. You cannot breath too deeply or rapidly or your lungs begin to feel like they're burning. If you get out of sync, then you begin to feel like you're suffocating. So when it's 20 F. here in Maryland and people complain, I always ask them to think of how it would feel if it were 75 degrees colder.

I am from upstate NY,right on the Southern Coast of Lake Ontario.Imagine its already -20 and the wind it kicking off the Great Lake.Plenty of Lake Effect snow to go around.As for the topic at hand,its Maine,what do you expect?!Of course its going to be the "frozen" tundra up there!
