As I received via email ... & translated from Arabic & German (it may be littlie off).

From the German Study:
Every creature on earth is bound to be in his blood levels of sugar whether the proportion of natural or result in a satisfactory rate (human - sheep - cat - a bird ...),
even the fish in his blood sugar.
Scientists have discovered only one animal does not have any trace of blood sugar & it`s (Gila lizard) which is An animal eat meat and insects.
Scientists dissected the animal they found that saliva contains a chemical
[that remove & wipe completely] any trace of sugar in the body
A few years ago, the scientists extracted the animal's saliva And analyzed chemically,
To extract the article in order to regulate the level of sugar in the body of the patient with diabetes
They do pills and injections, and lasted from diabetes for almost a year [More or less]
Will find the disappearance of any trace of diabetes in his body, and then dispense the medication completely, God willing,
Unlike treatment (insulin), which continues with diabetes throughout his life,
The scientists also discovered that this treatment is extracted from the animal's saliva
Addresses the pancreas and renews its cells infected and because of that, there is an imbalance in the level of insulin in the body of the patient
So after a patient's pancreas will return sugar to do its part as if it is not an illness or disease and thankfully
With this new medication you can tell that disease,
((good-bye for diabetes)), God willing

From Arabic patient (his mother):
I visited the pharmacies in Kuwait and found grains derived from the saliva of the animal
(januvia) the box and the price of 25 dinars, almost, enough for one month
And after taking of grain for one week only decreased the level of their sugar from 16 to 5 and 4.5
she developed signs of treatment in the form of unusual activity, energy and the disappearance of fatigue and pain associated with diabetes...
- This treatment is for adults only and is not suitable for children and they continue to treat insulin
That pleases God and bless us by the new treatment
- Taking the medication should be taken with the (regulator sugar)
Covered by any patient with diabetes with insulin and other medications
- Should not be applied to Helms on the subject without consulting a doctor
Please no personal efforts that do not support one of these words and use the medicine in his own way.

I believe you are referring to the developement of Byetta.

More information from the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

Byetta is a treatment for type 2 diabetes...not a cure.
quote:

BYETTA improves blood sugar control by lowering both postmeal and fasting glucose levels leading to better long-term control as measured by hemoglobin A1C. BYETTA does this through several actions, including the stimulation of insulin secretion only when blood sugar is high and by restoring the first- phase insulin response, an activity of the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas that is lost in patients who have type 2 diabetes. Most patients in the long-term BYETTA clinical studies also experienced reductions in weight.

To the OP:

Anything with a brain is using glucose.  The Gila monster has glucose in its blood; its saliva has the chemical that makes up Byetta.
