Hello all, I apologize if this is missuse of message boards or the wrong place to post but I am having a problem with the collarme chat feature that I've never had before and I'm not sure how to get help. I have the most recent java and explorer and no firewall. I've never had a problem getting in before, this is all of a sudden. While it is indefinatly loading is says "Flash policy problem. If you are the server owner, please read www.lightirc.com/faq.html#security. You need to install a flash policy daemon at chat.darkgrove.com (port 843)." I have no idea what that means. Anyone know what's up?

I don't think the chatroom runs on java any longer. You can go to adobe.com and download the latest version of Flash. That may fix your problem.

ETA: At the bottom of the Collarme.com page is a link to Support.

Well, I sent a message to collarme support so we shall see - if anyone has other ideas though, do share!

Try manually updating your flash player. They had an update in the last few days and sometimes a computer set up to get automatic updates waits a few days.

Peep, the flash error or the connection refused error via mIRC connection is not a user issue ( ie, yours, mine or anyones ) this is a site administration error, even when your adope flash player has been updated this will still not correct the issue..we as users cannot correct this, therefore, until Collarme.com server owners correct this issue, we wont be able to connect to chat, hope this helps hon.

Not sure when it got fixed but chat is working at the moment.  Thanks -  to the chat server ops who are volunteers and keep it running well in general.  I still blame Arnia.

I'm glad it is up. Users may have to re-register their nicks, but all should be good.

I use mIRC to connect CollarMe's chatrooms. I sometimes (not always) get an  Unable to connect to server (Connection refused) error when I try to connect, then I manage connecting after a few hours later. And I get original poster's error when I try to connect chatrooms via CM's own client, if mIRC connection gives me that Unable to connect to server (Connection refused) error.

http://www.collarchat.com/fb.asp?m=3566369 is another thread here about the chatrooms. so that maybe everyone can see the same information on how to access at least one channel, I am going to lock this thread so that everyone will post on the same one for continuity sake. Thank you again all of you for your patience!
