I never thought it would happen to me, but here I am posting-
I just got back from a 3 day trip to visit with a gentleman from the other side whom I've been chatting with for about 5 months now. We met briefly in person back in November, to see if we'd get along. We did, we had a really good time, and have been steadily conversing ever since. He's not too far from where I live, so we planned to get together again. This time wasn't just good, it was amazing.
He's a truly genuine and caring person. Intelligent and fun, doesn't have ego problems or a terminal arrogant snark disorder, and he treats me so very very well, as I do him. He's worth it.
Finally, an end to the madness.
I've dated some nice guys, some ok guys, and then there were those ubiquitous UFO's (Unbelievable Fuckheads Obtuse).
But every now and then, if someone is fortunate, they meet somebody who is a truly kind and sincere soul. This gentleman fits that description. I don't know where it's going to go, I'm hoping it develops into something long lasting. That would be very nice. But I'm enjoying the "now" immensely. Today is really all we ever have, you know? And several excellent "todays" have turned into some really good memories. It looks as if Fortune might have smiled on me. Time will tell.
I'm glad to have met such a wonderful friend here on CM.
