Thank you, I do too, it drives me nuts not to be able to hear properly, and the ear aches, ooooooooooh they're a bundle of joy from hell. Specially when they wake you up at 3 am then you spend the next 6 or  7 hours awake, while every one else is asleep and you can't make much noise or you'll wake them

I hope this Dr works out better for you. And I hope you feel better very soon!

Yes, antibiotics are useless for viral,  I could have an ear infection, I could still have the viral sinus infection who knows. Hopefully this dr will know what she's talking about unlike my last ome who site unseen told me I needed drops for a bacterial infection in my ear, one it turns out I didn't have.

Tazzy I go see my new one tomorow. The theroy is tho my ears hurt because I have mucus an shit backed up in there. Since my sinus pain an congestion an ear aches are not getting better she's gonna give me an antibiotic, because there could be a pocket of crap that can't be moved out by using expectorants to break up an thinthe mucus, and netti pot treatments.

Keep in mind, if the infection is caused by a virus, antibiotics won't help and taking too many can be bad for you.

Or you could have a bacterial sinus infection: the severe pain is kind of a clue or so I had been told (by a doctor when he treated mine).

Could be, could be.

I felt pretty fine, no pain no ear aches no nothing, just still can't hear well,  went to the Gym a few days ago, and I didn't do much, 5 mins on a treadmill going super slow, and then about 5 minutes lifting leg weights, then like 20 minutes marching in place slowly while I talked to someone and I got the worst sinus pain ever, it felt like someone was hitting the bridge of my nose and my eyes with a hammer and I was getting a really bad headache.

I told the dr and she said I wasn't ready to go back to exercise, gentle walking is fine, but hold off on the gym.

And now I, or someone who is also sick at work has made DAddy sick enough he's finding it hard to talk an his voice was almost gone at one point.

Yes lol. In all seriousness no, but I'm not getting better from the first visit so they made me a second visit and I missed it. So I have to wait till next week.

Toppingfrmbottom -> Ear pain is gone sinus problem is not. (2/23/2011 3:23:10 PM)

Ok so, I have a sinus infection she says, I'm not sure how that's tying in with the coughing fits an the fevers, but she said I have to drink way more water, because I'm not getting enough to allow the trapped sinus yuck to get thin an watery an come out , so more steam treatments increase h20 consumption, an antibiotics. We'll see if that's the ticket then.

She froze some warts off my finger 2 on my pinky on on top of the othr my middle finger an my thumb and shitthose treatments HURT! One of the warts is on the thumb I suck, an it's a struggle to keep it out of my mouth, it's such a mindless habit, but I'm doing well so far. Only 1 slipped in with out thinking. mistake at the time of this postlol.

The PA at my university suggested dabbing hydrocortisone cream on a Q-tip to treat mild itching. Hope that helps, sorry you're not well!

Hon, I know you're trying to be helpful and all, but it's been a month...

I do hope the PA also told you its contraindicated for a perforated ear drum. If the itching is in the canal, it could, potentially, be helpful. But Tfb indicated the itching was internal.
