I can think of one good reason for a dull edge compared to a honed one... stranger rape scene... holding a knife to one's throat, while being a super charged dose of adrenaline, can also lead to a nasty cut in a BAD spot with just one muscle jerk... and not even a big one... one spasm is about all it would take with a good enough edge... I'll chance ruining the scene just an iota rather than chance a cut over a major artery... - Dustyn

Tal and greetings Knife or Edge Play I find can be very exciting. I do have two different type of knives. One is blunt by design and will not hold an edge. The other is a very shape knife with a good edge. I do talk about this type of play before a doing so and allow the slave to see and touch the knives.
