Not to mention the convulsive efects, pulled muscles etc. My little rig that only put out 40 volts if that was enough to cause uncontrollable muscle reactions.

In a way it could be said that this is nothing to play with, but right up there is a picture of someone climbing the side of a cliff. People will do what they will do. I just think it would be right neighborly to help them avoid frying themselves while they are.......frying themselves.

Well,, I guess i'll be criticized for this,, but I've used the tens unit many many times on my nipples.  I like the pads under my breast forms creating a need to massage my breasts manually.  This was all BEFORE I knew anything about this being dangerous.  I can understand how you could affect the electric currents in or around your heart.  It sure felt wonderfull,, but I wont be doing it again any time soon.

Safety is always an issue with tens play. I sometimes think it gets over blown also. Most of it depends on the users common sense and using the right equipment.
i make a lot of tens toys to use myself. But for the nipples, i bought clamps that were made just for that purpose.
Do i recommend others do , no. it isn't worth the debates. A lot of people also don't want to spend the money so short cuts are taken.

The company that made the insulated bipolar nippleclmaps i have no longer makes them. probably cause they werent a big sellar they make a different model which is cheaper but i don't think is really safe. But MEO makes both insulated bipolar nipple clamps and also bipolar nipple suction cups

The nipple clmaps i have are similar to this, but a different brand.

But i don't wish to get into a debate on safety. Common sense and the right equipment is also a big part. There are lots of areas in the bdsm lifestyle that can be just as dangerous.

I've used them.  And I know enough about electricity and the conductive properties of the body to know that

a)  No one can guarantee you that any electrical activity is 100%, guaranteed safe.
b)  But if done properly (and I'll explain my definition of "properly"), it's "safe enough for me".  (And I'm paranoid.)

All my estim power boxes are ErosTek.  Every one of them has two outputs, and every one of them has completely isolated outputs.  (Each output is two wires.  You can think of them as a positive and a negative, even though they're AC.  "Completely isolated" means that power only flows from A+ to A-, and from B+ to B-.  It cannot go from A+ to B-, for example.)

I've used these electrodes:

Folsom

(I think I bought them from a different company, but it was those electrodes.)

Those electrodes look kind of like the traditional "aligator clip".  But the two halves of the clip are the two electrodes.  So the power only flows from one side of the electrode to the other.

Now, I consider this use to be safe.  But I didn't consider it to work very well.  For one thing, the contact area of the clips are very small, and they have a heck of a "grip".  In short, they hurt quite a bit, just when you clip them on.  (And my nipples are about half dead from playing so hard.  Most nipple clamps don't hurt me at all.)

And, in my experience, the estim rarely worked.  Often, no matter how I dialed it up, no feeling at all.  I assume that that was because my nipples have lost a lot of sensation, or because when clipped on, the two electrodes were so close together that there just wasn't any sensitive tissue in the path.

On the occasions when it worked, it was a really intense experience.  But it worked so rarely that I've pretty much abandoned it.

Of course, your nipples may vary.

You have explained that quite effectively. That is the most important point. Stick around, I'll be starting a thread soon that you might like.

Making bipolar nipple clamps is very easy. I explained it in my previous post. The trick is to make the clips adjustable so they only squeeze hard enough to stay in place. I can make 'em for about $4.00. The most expensive part is the bipolar audio plug. Probably the best attachment I have for my Eurotek unit.

My cardiologist says "never cross the heart"
use both poles on the same nipple, and use another channel for the other....check for _crossover- before putting on nipples simultaneusly

Missokyst -> RE: Electroplay on the nipples (6/14/2011 10:51:14 AM)

I've used them. You asked how it feels and I will tell you how it feels on me.
Some settings I feel nothing but frustration.. because I want it to do something dangit!
Then as the dials are adjusted there are a variety of differences.
Pinpricks. Pinches. Twists, and my favorite, tugs. I really like the tugs. It feels like someone is pulling at my nipples and letting them snap back.
There are also a variety of degrees. Pulses can go from short to long, and even intermittant. They can go from light to wicked. I have felt some which are maddening, and make me wish it would end and some that make me wonder if I can have this thing attached all day long.

Those who are totally against "anything above the waist" will tell you that even a violet wand is a no-no. I have a problem with the concept because my issues are always with my neck and upper back and my chiro and pt Always use stim on me every visit anywhere from my shoulder blades to on the neck itself. It usually takes a 20+ setting for me to even feel it at first because of the problems i have. Personally, i only want the tens to be able to treat my neck more often without the $25 co-pay!

Anywho, i love the violet wand as a total tease anywhere including the breasts and nipples. Especially when bound. It makes me (or whoever) squirm so nicely! I'm willing to take the chance on something that is essentially strong static electricity.
