Back to the topic. Any more news? I saw nothing online this morning other than rumors. No more chemical weapons rumors fortunately.

The reports that he is arming civilians in the capitol are telling, Hill. Even with imported mercenaries, he cannot secure his own city. I don't think it's a question of whether he would want to use the most horrific means at his disposal (whatever that might be), but whether he'll get the chance.

Thats a dangerous desperation, because he will certainly arm those not loyal as well as those of good intentions and weak willed ideology. In other words, he will arm his downfall.

It might just be me, but I think it is disgusting that just about everything is used for vile left/right sniping. People are being butchered because they are fighting for freedom, and you lot are trying to score some cheap points. This is not the first thread about the revolutions that you are doing it on, it starts to grow old. And that goes for a whole bunch of you on both sides of the fence. Discussion is one thing, but that is not what you are doing. Hopefully, the signs are being read correctly, and he really is on his last leg. I shudder to think about the pain and suffering he might inflict upon the protesters before he goes down.

Bush got Qaddafi to stop manufacturing chemical and biological weapons. Bush did not get him to get rid of all his stockpile. It is estimated that he still has 9.5 tons of mustard gas and other chemical weapons. Neither Bush nor Obama (I am a democrat) tried to convince Qaddafi to move toward democracy. Of course, this is not the first time the United States has supported an oppressive regime.

what is confusing you there? That the PLO killed Americans? Or that Clinton started giving them aid? Both are well known basic facts It was the right thing to do, as was getting Gaddaffi to turn over terrorists, pay compensation, and surrenduer his WMDs. realit requires less tan perfect solutions.
