Whispering voice
I started so small, a single rain drop,
I sank to the ground to be nurtured,
Absorbed and cloaked, hidden in depths,
Till pushed to the light once more.
I've boundaries made to keep me from harm,
I've secrets so deep; kept for all time,
In shallows you see what's wanted to be,
Down in fathoms find the real me.
My direction was set but still course unknown,
My journey is long; only ending the same,
Age makes me stronger; but often I'm weak,
Bustled with life: but still all alone.
I'm here when wanted, just doing my thing,
I'm running my path, and all kept within,
Take care of rapids, or waters that spill,
No harm meant, just emotions to thrill.
I'll give you pools so tranquil and calm,
I'll keep you cool and quench your thirst,
You change my flow, and breach my defences,
You tempt my loneliness to lead astray.
I can't do your bidding, follow your ways,
I've somewhere to go, place eager to be,
This adventure near ended the rest is insight,
Seeing the whole picture, tide high onside.
My pulse has quickened, need to be there,
My heart into oceans, in embrace being kept,
Meant to be here, held for a time,
Till journey is ended, return to the sky.
