cute stories, soul2share ^_^
i think my dog likes traveling so much because he knows there will be all sorts of terrible-but-yummy snacks along the way. =p the dogs got to know what drive-thrus were pretty quickly during some of the longer road trips

I am a dog fan but both our dogs are dead now, and I'm not ready for another, I don't know when I'll be ready again, their deaths, though sparky died 2 years ago almost, it still is raw, and Ginger just died recently, it hasn't even been 6 months yet, both my dogs began dying of a horrible disease, and it broke my to watch them deteriorate. I was with them all day every day since I don't w*ork and her condition caused me many mini nervous break downs.

I am with FukinTroll (I like writing his nick hehe) Instead of my painful doggie story I will provide a bit of musical interlude by George Clinton. I do adore animals and animal haters are lame.

Yeah, this is a story of a famous dog
For the dog that chases its tail will be dizzy
These are clapping dogs, rhythmic dogs
Harmonic dogs, house dogs, street dogs
Dog of the world unite
Dancin' dogs
Yeah
Countin' dogs, funky dogs
Nasty dogs (Dog)

Atomic dog
Atomic dog

Like the boys
When they're out there walkin' the streets
May compete
Nothin' but the dog in ya

Bow-wow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yeah
Bow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yeah
Bow-wow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yeah
Bow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yeah

Like the boys
When they're out there walkin' the streets
May compete
Nothin' but the dog in ya

Why must I feel like that
Oh, why must I chase the cat

Like the boys
When they're out there walkin' the streets
May compete
Nothin' but the dog in ya

Ruff
Ruff
Ruff

Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the cat
Nothin' but the dog in me

Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the cat
Nothin' but the dog in me

Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the cat
Nothin' but the dog in me

Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the cat
Nothin' but the dog in me

Do the dogcatcher, dogcatcher
Do the dogcatcher
Do the dogcatcher, dogcatcher
Do the dogcatcher

Do the dogcatcher, baby, do the dogcatcher
Ooh

Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the cat
Nothin' but the dog in me

Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the cat
Nothin' but the dog in me

Bow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yeah
Bow-wow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yeah
Bow-wow-yippie-yo-yippie-yeah

Just walkin' the dog
Oh, atomic dog

Futuristic bow-wow

Ruff

Leader of the pack
Wild dog

Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the cat
Just the dog in me
Nothin' but the dog in me

Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the cat
Just the dog in me
Nothin' but the dog in me

Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the cat
The dog in me (Dog in me)
The dog is in me (Dog in me)

Do the dogcatcher, dogcatcher
Do the dogcatcher
Do you wanna do the dogcatcher
Well, baby, why don't you do it again for me

Dogcatcher, dogcatcher
Do the dogcatcher

House-trained dogs
Wild dogs
Say it again

Why must I feel like that
Why must I chase the cat

i came in tonight from the event and my dog greeted me at the door with a bunch of frantic tail-wagging, super-cute puppy-smiling, and a VERY loud "aaaooooaororoorororororororrroroooo!!!"
he's so ridiculously adorable

i have four pint sized pooches. scrappy is a jack russel terrier/chihuahua mix from the pound, about 5 yrs old now, a chubby little man with big soulful eyes who adores me. when he sleeps with me at night he has to be as close as he can get without being inside my skin. scrappy loves to greet me with "hihihihi!" shotzi is a 4 yr old yorkie/pomeranian mix, she'd be legally blind as a human, she's also a bit ditzy. she doesn't like to be cuddled. she prefers to be a loner, a bit odd for a dog of her type, most are devoted lap dogs. she does enjoy being groomed and cuddled a little while i'm trimming her fur, but that is the only time. then there's the stray chihuahua, tibby, found sitting on my friend's neighbor's porch. she knew i liked the smaller dogs and she couldn't breed him with her akc chi's. he's about three years old now and sweet as can be, loves to play with my son's cat and sleeps with me or one of the kids every night. the youngest is teddybear, a 5 month old longhair chi. he's one of my friend's akc puppies and the most adorable little man, loves to cuddle in my arms, sleeps with me with the other two boys and despite being only about four pounds can hold his own in tussles with the other two brutes. they are so much fun to watch and i adore them. i was forced to give away my two big dogs when i moved here, i had no room for them, no yard to run in, and i miss them very much, i love shepard mixes. at least i could keep my little ones and they've been so much comfort during the worst couple years of my life. they listen and support without judgement and without unwanted advice. they just love.

My neighbor downstairs has the cutest little puppy.....she's part boxer, and is so funny!  I play with her when my doggie craving gets up.....she is a pretty little girl, boxer brown.  Queenie didn't have her tail and ears done, personally, I think that's cruel, she's probably about 30 pounds of all muscle.  She chases after the cats, not with any evil intent, she just wants to make friends.  The kittehs, however, want no part of her.  The one guy I feed, Toby, likes to tease Sugar.....he'll climb up the back steps just far enough to be out of reach.  Sugar stands at the bottom of them just begging with her little face for Toby to come down and play.  And I think Toby knows she won't hurt him, otherwise he wouldn't sit there.

Queenie is thinking about adopting Toby, he's a really friendly little kitteh, considering he's borrn "wild", he just never turned feral.  But she's afraid of what Sugar would do once they were both in the house...she doesn't want to traumatize Toby either.  I told her they'd probably get along just fine, after all, Toby is used to seeing Sugar here.  I hope she does, I'd take Toby in, but my kittehs won't have that.

i have a fascination with Westies; if something happens to my dear little fuzzbucket and i decide to get another dog, they're on my "seriously consider" list.

I hadn't planned on getting a westie - I had wanted a pair of bichons. But fortunately I got my westie boy instead and he's the most amazing dog in the world. Endlessly loyal, patient, silly, soppy...every night we go upstairs to bed (the dogs sleep in their own dog beds in my room) and he waits at the top of the stairs for me to reach the top so he can have another head rub before he turns in for the night

At the moment my bichon is lying across the back of the sofa, snoring gently into my ear. My westie is sleeping curled up on the sofa next to me, using my lap as a pillow. I'm truly blessed with my fur-babies.

My westie does the exact same thing, running ahead of me up the stairs waiting there for one more kiss and head rub before bed

bloodhounds are cool dogs. ^_^

back home, we lived outside the city, so people were always coming out their and dumping off their animals. we took in and rehomed a lot of stray dogs.
we had a little coydog who we called Olivia (aka "Dinky Lego" =p) who eventually found a really great home where she had her own room and everything. ^_^ haha
lots of funny crosses thanks to people who didn't spay/neuter, but also didn't pay attention to what was going on with their animals until there were puppies everywhere. =p

my dog's tuckered out from running around all day -- he's doing so much better since he's on his treatment; makes me happy. ^_^ supposed to rain tonight, though, and he DOES NOT like thunderstorms. never has, never will.

I don't have a dog but I really want one bad. I'm one of those zany dog lovers that enjoys them more than the two legged sort. Since the one I want will be hard to come by, I'm looking at a couple of options. If I can snag a Snow Lion I'll be very happy!

Namaste,

~porcelaine
