Status: offline 		A couple people here have touched on the fact that anal sex without lube is a health risk, but I'm surprised that no one has pointed out why.

The lack of lubrication can greatly increase the chance of tearing internal tissue, which in turn increases the risk of contracting an STD. If you're going to have anal sex without lube, you'd better be damn sure your partner is STD free.

The whole anal sex HIV misinformation came about cuz AIDS was much more prevalent in the gay community here in the US. Other countries AIDS is a much larger issue in the hetro community. There is no evidence that takin it up the poop shoot is any riskier than givin in the glory hole... its all about exchange of body fluids

The point is that body fluids can be exchanged more easily if there are tears in the tissue. Tears can occur more easily without the use of lubricant.

Thanks for sharing. I'm going to file this away for future reference. Using it would probably result in some physical discomfort. But what the heck, you only live once.

it specifically has to do with the prevalence of T-cells in the poop shoot. T-cells are the same cells that turn into HIV virus factories. T-cells are less commonly found in the pussy.

That's a good point.... also, STDs aside, I can't imagine that having fecal bacteria get into bleeding, open tears is safe. I can bear the pain, but the risk of infection freaks me out.

There are inherent dangers in everything - but having worked in an ER for 10 years and in surgery for longer than that, i think this one may be overstated. Infection dangers from anal sex would seem pretty minimal.
