Tuesday, September Seventh...

I-90 west bound, excitement mixed with exhaustion flows through me as I try to rub the grit out of my eyes, only fifty more miles to go.

Fifty miles stand between me and my bright new future...Or so I thought.

The truck stop coffee has gone cold long ago, and I debated pulling over for a power nap at the next rest stop, but Chicago's suburban sprawl quickly fills the horizon, and I decide to push through to my new townhouse in Hinsdale Illinois.

I bought the house via the Internet, on the recommendation of one of the directors of Argonne National Laboratories. Living in Chicago would be quite different from my small apartment in Idaho Falls, or the small town in Oregon I grew up in.

I graduated from Cal Tech with a Masters in Environmental Sciences and was offered a position with Argonne West in Idaho even before I completed my program.

I quickly made a name for myself at the lab, becoming the go to guy whenever one of my coworkers hit a brick wall.

Eventually my reputation spread back to the University of Chicago, and the directors of Argonne in suburban Westmont offered me a promotion, as well as a transfer to Chicago.

Catching I-355 south, I catch a second wind twenty miles from my new house. My apartment in Idaho Falls was fully furnished, so all of my worldly possessions fit in the bed of my Toyota Tundra.

Thanks to the magic of a Garmin GPS unit, I arrive at the Realtor office at eight thirty in the morning to pick up my keys and garage door openers.

I arrive at my new place around ten and stop across the street. What a beauty, all brick, three bedroom/three baths, with a full basement and two car garage.

It's in your typical upscale suburb, at the end of a cul de sac with five other town houses. Mine is number four if counting from left to right.

I pull into the garage, and unload my air mattress, sleeping bag, pillows, and toiletries. The rest can wait until after I take a nap, I have two weeks before I start my new job, and plan on having my new place livable.

I set up my air mattress in the mid sized bedroom for two reasons. First, it's the only bedroom in the loft, and second, my twin sister Carrie travels to Chicago often with her partner Sophie, and plan on staying with me while in town, therefore I'll let them have the master bedroom.

I grab a quick shower and set up my bedding, I plan on taking a nap before heading out to buy a TV, stereo, furniture, and beds.

Friday afternoon...

I'm putting the finishing touches on my home office, the furniture has all been delivered, and the cable guy has just left when my door bell rings. I figure the cable guy forgot something, so I shout out, "come in."

I hear the sounds of high heels on the hardwood floor, and wander out into my foyer to see who was wearing heels in my house.

I see a woman in a sharp skirt suit, stockings, and high heels standing there. She has reddish brown hair and blue eyes.

She appears maybe ten years older than I, late thirties, or early forties, holding a bottle of wine. She's about an inch shorter than my five foot nine inches, and a bit on the heavy side, I guess you might say she is Rubenesque.

I self consciously stuff my hands in my pocket when I notice her look me over from head to toe like a predator, and clear my throat.

"Can I help you Mrs...?"

"Hi, i'm Molly, I live next door, welcome to the neighborhood, by the way, I'm not married." Her smile turns an otherwise plain face into something almost pretty.

"Ah hi, I'm Chris, thank you."

"I wanted to stop by and introduce myself...Aren't you going to invite me in?"

"Oh, sorry, come in, please forgive the mess." I sweep my arm in an arc to invite her in, and let her walk past me into the house.

Molly walks past me with that smile on her face, and I find her a bit appealing.

She pauses in the door of the living room, and I almost bump into her because I expected her to enter the room.

"Nice sofa, but the room needs color...And art on the walls."

"I'll take your word for it, I don't know much about interior decorating." I manage to get out.

Molly continues into the kitchen and set's the wine down on the counter by the wet bar.

I look on, confused as she sniffs the air before walking over to my stove "you don't cook much, do you?"

Do I hear a hint of disapproval in her voice, even more importantly, do I care? Once again my hands find my pockets.

"Mainly frozen pizza and microwave dinners." I mumble in reply.

Her laugh is musical, and I find myself grinning with her.

"Don't worry, we'll have you cooking in no time, besides my dear boy, this is Chicago, there are five good pizza joints within ten miles of here, so forget the frozen pizzas."

Smiling, I offer her a seat at my new dining room table.

"No thank you, I can't stay, I have plans for tonight. I just wanted to introduce myself, and invite you to a party I'm throwing tomorrow night, kind of a last barbecue before winter party."

"Um, I still have a lot to do around here before I start my new job, and need to set up my home network, but thank you for the invitation."

"Nonsense, it will be fun, I expect to see you by seven thirty." Molly smiles again and throws me a wink, "bring your bathing suit, I have a hot tub."

I walk her to the door and try to come up with an excuse to avoid the party, I don't do well in social settings.

"Molly, I'll try to make it, but I really have a lot to do, so no promises, besides I don't have a swim suit."

Molly turns toward me, I can see she looks a bit put out as she says, "I'm trying to be a good neighbor here, all I'm asking for is thirty minutes of your time, is that really too much?"

Realizing she's just trying to be neighborly, I sigh and answer "would you like me to bring anything?"

The smile returns and she says, "just yourself my boy, just yourself." Molly turns on her heel and walks out.

I watch her hips sway as she leaves, and a blush creeps up when she looks over her shoulder and catches me checking out her ass.

'Oookay' I think, 'I wonder if the rest of the neighbors are as friendly as Molly.' I close the door and return to my office.

I decide to get a jump on my home network, "Shit!" I say out loud when I realize my wireless router is missing. Now I have to run out and buy a new one.

'The hell with it, I'll get one tomorrow,' I think as I plug my desktop directly into my cable modem. I make a list of the kitchen utensils and cleaning supplies I plan on buying tomorrow and decide to try a pizza.

I order from a place called Giuliano's and finish cleaning up the packing materials in my office, Molly was right, I'll never eat frozen pizza again.

Saturday morning 9 am...

After making my list and programming my GPS with the addresses of the various stores I need to find, I walk out into my small back yard to see if I need to buy a lawn mower before spring.

'Long way from Idaho,' I think dejectedly. Instead of seeing majestic mountains on the horizon, I see urban sprawl, and a thin line of trees separating the homes on this block from the homes on the next block over.

As I step out onto my deck I hear Molly talking. I look over to see her in tight denim shorts very high wedge sandals, and a plunging halter top talking on the phone.

"What am I supposed to do George? I have guests arriving at five! Where are they supposed to sit and eat?" Molly pauses as George responds, then continues, "no George, I expect a 20% discount, and free pick up tomorrow! I'll try to find someone with a truck to come get the tables."

"Son of a bitch!" Molly cusses and I clear my throat. "Is something wrong Molly?"

"I'm sorry if I disturbed you Chris."

"You didn't, did I hear you needed a truck?"

"The damn party rental store was supposed to deliver 5 tables and 40 chairs, but their van broke down and if I don't arrange for a pick up, we'll be sitting in the grass tonight."

"I have a truck, and need to run out anyway, so do you need me to pick up the tables and chairs for you?"

"Oh Chris, that would be wonderful, you're a life saver. Are your errands going to take long?"

"No, the only thing I really need is a router. I was going to look into a lawn mower, but that can wait until tomorrow."

"Tell you what, let me go change and I'll come with you, if you need to mow, I'll lend you mine."

"I'm sure you have a lot to do before the party, I can handle the tables."

"Actually I'm free until one, so I have time, I'll be ready in ten minutes."

Molly disappears through her kitchen door and I mentally kick myself for volunteering to help.

I go back in and exchange my Dockers and Polo for jeans and my old 'I like P.I.' t-shirt and head down to the garage.

I open the garage door and pull my truck out into the drive way, Molly walks out her front door just as my door comes down.

She's still wearing the tight shorts, and wedge sandals, but traded the halter for a bra a snug black t-shirt, which only enhances her rather large breasts, and has applied eyeliner, mascara, and crimson lip gloss.

I unlock the passenger door and Molly climbs in, "thanks again Chris, I really appreciate it."

"It's my pleasure Molly, I'm always willing to help a neighbor out." I kick myself once again, and hope she doesn't call me every time she needs a light bulb changed.

Molly smiles her alluring smile, and I feel my bad mood melt away.

"I noticed you have Idaho plates, what brings you to Chicago?" She has a disconcerting way of looking you right in the eye when she speaks, and I get a lil nervous.

"Ah, work. I was offered a promotion and had to relocate."

"My dear boy, we don't grow potatoes here in Hinsdale."

'Potatoes! What does she think I am, some hay seed, farmer hick?'

I turn towards her with a more defensive than angry look, and watch her wink at me, before starting that musical laugh.

It takes me a moment, and with a chagrinned look, chuckle along with her... Yeah, she got me good.

"Seriously, what brings you to Illinois?" Molly says with an interested look on her face.

"I'm an engineer and work for Argonne, I was working in Idaho for the last two years, and got promoted and transferred to the Westmont facility."

"Fascinating! I didn't know they had a lab in Idaho. Where did you get your degree from?"

"Cal Tech."

"Oh, good school, electrical engineer?"

"Environmental science."

"My my, I've never met an environmental engineer before."

"How about you? What do you do for a living?"

"I'm a...Therapist," she replies. I notice the pause, and wonder if she just lied to me, so I push her a bit.

"You mean a Shrink?" I ask.

"Not quite, I don't have an MD."

"I see," I reply. She must have detected a note of disbelief in my voice because she turns and looks straight at me.

I see a bit of fire in her eyes when Molly says, "I take it you don't know anything about alternative lifestyles, or therapies? I bet you think homosexuality is a sin too!"

"Wait...What? Who said anything about gay people?" I ask, bewildered...

"If you don't want to tell me about your job that's fine! But don't bash gay people around me, it pisses me off." I say, louder than I should have.

Molly stares at me for a minute before smiling her almost pretty smile and reaching over to take my hand.

"Chris, I'm sorry, it's just I run into a lot of closed minded people around here who don't understand my line of work. I didn't realize you were gay...I should have, but you send mixed signals."

Once again I find myself at a loss for words, Molly thinks I'm gay?

I feel the heat on my neck once again and I force myself to pull into the lot of a strip mall and park.

When I finally settle down, I look at Molly's sympathetic smile and say, "Molly, I'm not gay, where did you get that impression?"

She releases my hand and sits back in astonishment. "Well, that explains you checking out my ass yesterday. Wait, I'm confused, why are you so defensive about homosexuality and why are we mad at each other?"

"I asked you where you worked, you hesitated to tell me, and accused me of being a Bible thumping gay basher."

"Chris, I am very sorry, usually when people find out I council alternative life stylers, I catch all kinds of grief. I hesitated because I don't know you very well. Please forgive me, I really jumped to the wrong conclusion about you."

"Only if you let me apologize as well. Ever since high school I've had to protect Carrie, my gay twin sister, and I'm afraid my anger is a defense mechanism. I'm sorry I raised my voice..."

"Let's start over, hi, I'm your new neighbor Chris, I have a gay sister that I love, and I'm happy to meet you"

Molly smiles as she replies, "hi I'm Molly, your alternative lifestyle counseling neighbor with a cute ass, and I believe this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship."

We laugh together as I head back out into traffic, and towards the electronics store.

"Tell me about your sister, is she lipstick, or butch?"

"Oh they're both girly."

"I take it they're out?"

"Yeah, after high school, she came out big time."

"So when you say they, you mean she has a partner?"

Once again my embarrassment shows on my face and Molly has to prod me to continue.

"This is rather embarrassing... Yeah, she has a partner."

"Go on, I promise not to laugh."

"Sophie, Carrie's partner, and I started dating in college. They were at UC Berkeley, and I was at Cal Tech. I was visiting Carrie when I met Sophie, and we dated for six weeks. I thought it was serious, but the weird thing was she was always asking about Carrie."

"Oh, I see."

"Yeah I was thinking it was strange, but maybe she was old fashioned, and wanted Carrie's approval. One Sunday night I took them both to dinner to make introductions, and the following weekend I walked in on them having sex.

"This Sophie broke your heart, didn't she?"

"I was devastated, I refused to speak to either one for the rest of the semester. For a while I thought Sophie might be bi, and once she had her 'college lesbian experience,' we could get back together."

"But..."

"But Carrie and Sophie are really happy together, and she's my twin, so I couldn't stay mad at either of them, even when Sophie flirts and teases me every time we see each other."

"I assume there still on the coast?"

"Yeah, they have a condo in Seattle."

"Well, now that you live here, you probably won't see them very much."

"Ah, they're both flight attendants for Southwest, they'll be coming here and staying with me so frequently, that I set up the master bedroom for them."

"Are you serious? Wow, that's very generous of you. You'll have to introduce me when they lay over."

"Please tell me you don't wanna sleep with my sister too." I say half jokingly.

Molly laughs her musical laugh, then say's, "no my boy, I'm stricly dickly."

It's a damn good thing I wasn't drinking anything at the moment.

We finish our errands, and I help Molly unload the truck before heading back to my house.

"See you tonight," Molly says as she caresses my face and kisses me on the cheek in thanks before I head home. I have to say it felt strange, kinda intimate, but more chaste.

Truth be told, I'm in a state of confusion when I unlock my door. Molly is definitely not my type, I normally go for the college age California, willowy blonde surfer type, which is the exact opposite of Molly.

She's at least ten years older, and a bit on the heavy side, but for some bizarre reason she has a magnetism I can't explain, and her confidence is contagious.

I eat some left over pizza and drink a couple of beers as I get my wireless router set up and secured, that done I decide to take a nap before the party.

I wake up at four thirty and I'm about to jump in the shower when my door bell rings.

I answer the door and find Molly standing there, still dressed as before.

"Chris, I really hate to impose again, but my friend is running late. Can you help me set up the tables? I'll make it up to you, I swear."

'Oh great, She's going to be 'that' neighbor I think before saying, "sure Molly, it shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes."

We quickly set up the tables and she excuses herself to finish something in the kitchen, leaving me to deal with the chairs.

I quickly arrange the chairs, and head home before Molly finds something else for me to do.

I grab a shower and settle in behind my desk for a bit of down time. It's six o'clock, and I have no intention of going next door before seven thirty.

It's almost eight when the smell of grilling meat finally causes my empty stomach to rebel, so I head next door to find Molly's party in full swing.

Molly looks at her watch, and frowns before taking my arm in hers and introduces me to my other neighbors.

I meet Geoff and Kari, the thirty something couple who lives to my left in number five, Tom and Deanne, the forty fiveish couple who live next to Molly, and Greg and Mika, who own number one.

Greg and Mika are a very attractive couple around my age, and I'm told Greg is a computer whiz, while Mika is an Optometrist.

Tom is a union electrician, and Deanne a house wife. Geoff is a assistant fire chief in nearby Clarendon Hills, while Kari manages one of the local bank branches. They all seem to be very nice people, and quite neighborly.

Molly continues to introduce me to various other couples she's invited, but at this point all I can think about is food and a beer.

I catch a break when one of her friends intercepts us, and Molly stops to chat. I make a bee line to the food table and help myself to a burger, potato salad, and cole slaw.

I grab a beer and find a seat with the guys, I eat as I get to know them better. I'm on my second burger and beer when Molly and the wives come over to the table.

She walks up behind me, and places her hands on my shoulders rather possessively. After a moment I start to get uncomfortable, and squirm a bit, but her nails dig into my skin, holding me in place.

All this happens while she's carrying on a conversation with Kari, and while Molly is telling the group how much I helped out.

I'm already embarrassed by the praise when she starts massaging my neck and shoulders, like I'm a good pet who's eared his Master's affection.

The second Molly let's up the pressure I hurriedly excuse myself to use the restroom, and grab another round of drinks.

"Hurry back," Molly says with a smile. In my ears in sounds more like a command, than a platitude, so I rush into the house to use the bathroom.

As I use the toilet my mind goes over the last ten minutes. 'WTF?' I think, 'is Molly really making a pass at me?' I wash my hands and look in the mirror.

'No way, Dude. She's just a touchy, feely type, your overreacting!' I say to myself in the mirror.

I think back to my high school and college years, I was the skinny, nerdy, studious guy. Carrie was the outgoing, everybody likes her, social animal.

The only girl that ever hit on me, let alone date me, was Sophie, and she was just using me to get close to Carrie.

Yeah, Molly is plus sized, and she's no model, but she's not ugly, why would she hit on me?

I'm still dwelling on it when I step out of the kitchen door and grab four beers out of the cooler on the deck.

That's when I see her! She must have just climbed out of the Hot Tub, because she's drying her hair with a towel.

She's young, maybe twenty two, blonde, wearing an almost too small green bikini.

Her legs are long, her breasts are small, in other words, she's just my type. She is sitting with a group of attractive women near the hot tub.

'How the hell have I missed her all evening?' I think to myself. Of course my social awkwardness stops me from introducing myself, so I return to the table carrying four beers.

I can hardly take my eyes off her as the conversation flows around me. At one point our eyes meet, and hers pause for a moment, as if to size me up, and the hint of a smile touches her lips.

I'm in my own little world, and failed to notice Molly watching us like a hawk.

Around ten thirty the neighbors decide to call it a night, Tom and Geoff are going to the race in Joliet and invite me along, but NASCAR isn't my cuppa, so I decline the invitation.

We walk over to say good night to Molly as a group, and even though she retains her smile, I get the impression that she's pissed when I declined to stay for a soak in the Tub.

Sunday morning..

I decide to get up and go shopping early so I can avoid Molly, I'm hoping I'm completely wrong about the situation, and I'm imagining the whole thing, but you never know.

Friday evening...

Apparently I was wrong about Molly after all, I haven't seen nor talked to her all week, and I've been able to complete my projects in peace.

I am researching cookware when my cell rings, I answer with a jaunty 'ello.

"CHRIS!!!! Hiya bro!" Carrie's cheery voice booms out of my speaker, how's the new place?"

"Hiya sis! How are you?"

"Couldn't be better, now, tell me about your house!"

Laughing, I reply, "It's great, three bedrooms, three baths, I was told it needed interior decorating, but other than that...."

"Who told you that?"

"One of our new neighbors, I'll have to introduce you."

"Making friends already, are we?"

"Just the neighbors, how's Sophie?"

Just then I hear Sophie's cheerful voice call out, "hi Chrissy."

Rolling my eyes I say, "Sis, you know how much I hate being called that. Can't you do anything?"

"Brother of mine, you know she's just teasing you, anyway, we just got back from Sydney, and have a flight out to Chicago tomorrow. So are you ready to entertain a couple of sexy bitches?"

"So soon? I wasn't expecting you until the end of October, I suppose I can find room for you, if you don't mind an air mattress and sleeping bags."

"Um, I don't think so! I'll just have Sophie seduce you into giving up your bed."

"Fat chance!" We both know my reply is all bluster, and Sophie still has me wrapped around her finger.

"Chris," whenever Carrie calls me  Chris, I know she's serious. "We have a huge favor to ask, that's why we're coming out earlier than expected."

"Alright, ask," I say with concern in my voice.

"Tomorrow, over dinner," was her cryptic reply, which sent my stomach rolling.

"Carrie..."

"Tomorrow, Chris, ok?"

"Ok Sis, do you need me to pick you up?"

"We'll be there for a week so we'll rent a car, can you text me your address?"

"No problem...Are you really ok?"

"Yeah, we are fine, see you tomorrow afternoon, find a good Chinese place ok? Love ya Bro." Carrie say's, answering my unasked question.

"Love you too, see ya tomorrow."

Saturday...

I decide if I'm going to have guests, I better go buy some groceries, wine, body wash and shampoo for the girls. My truck is over due for a oil change, so I hope to take care of that while I'm out.

I step out on my deck for some fresh air and see Molly puttering around in her back yard.

My first instinct is to duck back inside, but then I realize how ridiculous I'm acting, and call out, "good morning Molly."

"Hello Chris," she says with her smile. "How's the unpacking coming?"

"Good, I just have a few odds and ends to finish up." I look at my watch and curse under my breath when I see it's already ten.

"Is everything ok? You look like you just passed a Kidney stone." Molly say's as the smile leaves her face.

"Wha? Oh yeah, it's just that my sister and Sophie are coming this afternoon, and I have some errands to run. By the way, can you recommend a grocery store, and good Chinese Restaurant?"

"That's wonderful, I thought they weren't coming until next month... I shop at Whole Foods, and although it's a bit far, Malahini Terrace in Westmont is by far the best Chinese in the area. I think I have a menu around here somewhere, I'll drop it in your mail box if you want me to."

"Thank you, my sister arranged to come early, and she has something important to ask me."

"That sounds serious, if I can help, all you have to do is ask."

"Thanks again, I just hope I'm back before they get here."

"I'll be here until six, you can always leave a key with me if you want. I was going to ask you if I could leave a spare key with you for my place anyway."

"That's a great idea! Thank you very much Molly, I'll be right back." Since all my locks are keyed alike, I already have four keys, so I hand two to Molly and head out.

I find a Whole Foods and I'm browsing the produce section when I hear, "excuse me, didn't I see you at Molly's last week?"

I turn around and come face to face with her! She is so pretty up close, I lose my voice.

After a minute she looks at me strangely, before apologizing and turning to leave.

"Wait! Um, ah, hi, yeah I was at the party." I'm finally able to stammer out.

She turns back and her smile widens. "I though so, I was about to come over and say hello, but you left with Molly's neighbors before I dried off."

"I'm sorry," is all I could think to say.

She laughs and holds out her hand. "I'm Leslie."

I take her hand and say, "I'm Chris, it's a pleasure to meet you."

I get butterflies in my stomach when she continues to hold onto my hand.

"So, how do you know Molly, Chris?"

"I bought the house next door to her."

Leslie's eyes go wide and she say's, "wow, those town homes are expensive! I'm impressed."

Blushing furiously I say, "they're not that expensive."

"So can I ask what you do for a living?" Leslie continues.

"I work out at Argonne."

"You must be very smart!"

I look down at my feet as my face turns bright red.

Leslie giggles as she say's, "are you blushing?" Once again I lose the ability to speak.

We talk as we shop and I learn that she's twenty one, but looks much younger, and a nursing student at College of DuPage.

Leslie has a habit of brushing her fingers on my arm as we walk, and every time she does, my body responds as if I'm being hit by lightning.

I notice a little smile every time my body responds to her touch.

We finish our shopping, and I finally notice Leslie only has three items in her basket.

"I'm sorry, did you need more groceries?" I say, alarmed that I took up all of her time.

"What? Oh, no, this is all I need." She say's as if she's surprised to see anything at all in her basket.

As we're walking out to our cars Leslie takes my hand in her's as if we've been dating for months.

We get to her car first, it's a Honda Civic, and she let's go of my hand to unlock the hatch. She set's her sack down before turning around to face me.

We stare at each other forever before we both start to speak at the same time.

"Please, go ahead," I gesture towards Leslie.

"Chris, I'm normally not this bold, in fact I've never felt this way before, but I want you...To have dinner with me tonight."

She frowns when she see's the pained expression on my face, and I say, "Leslie, I can't."

"I see...I didn't see a ring...She's a lucky woman, good bye Chris."

"Ring? Huh?...No! I'm not married Leslie, I don't even have a girlfriend!"

The smile is back, all one thousand watts, and my heart skips a beat.

"I can see your not gay, so what's so important that you can't have me...er, take me to dinner?"

'Did she just say she wanted to sleep with me?' My mind is racing as I try to process her words.

"Earth to Chris?"

"Huh? Oh about tonight, my sister is coming into town this afternoon, and she has something important to talk about."

"Sister, huh?" She say's while rolling her eyes, "is that the best you can do?"

Oh God, why does this have to be so damn hard?

"Leslie, I'm telling you the truth, my sister Carrie and her partner are coming into town in about an hour. I swear to you that Carrie is my twin, sister...Here," I pull my wallet out of my pocket and open it to the pictures.

Her eyes narrow as she looks at the picture of Carrie and Sophie posing in front of a fountain in Prague.

"Who's the hot brunette?"

"That's Sophie, Carrie's partner."

"Partner?" I see the light bulb go off above her head as she say's, "ah, partner! I feel like an idiot."

"You're not an idiot, how could you have known?"

She stares at me for another few minutes before saying, "you're telling me the truth about not having a girlfriend, aren't you?"

"I am...If you asked me about any other night, I'd be happy to take you...Uh, to dinner I mean."

Leslie laughs before saying, "fine, then buy me lunch and we can get to know each other better."

"I'm the new guy in town, so why don't you pick the place?"

"Ok, you'll have to follow me, Whole Foods is quick to call and have non shoppers towed."

Disappointed that we're not riding together, I follow Leslie to a place called Ricobenes in Darien. It's further than I expected, but the food is fantastic!

Leslie orders a Chicken Parmesan sandwich, and sells me on a king sized Breaded Steak, and the world's greatest French fries.

We get to know each other a bit better, she tells me about living here her whole life, and her dreams of visiting the U.K..

I tell her about my hippie parents, Carrie, growing up in Oregon, college in California, and my job at Argonne.

I ask her how she knows Molly, but she changes the subject without answering me.

I excuse myself to use the restroom, and return to the table in time to see Leslie look up at me and quickly hang up her cell.

"Calling the boyfriend?" I ask, semi jokingly, semi serious.

"What? No, that was my Aunt, she want's me to come over next week."

Her smile is radiant, so I quickly dismiss my suspicion.

I wrap up half my sandwich, and we head back to our cars.

As we're standing outside I say, "Leslie, you're twenty one, right?"

"Yeah?"

"You look younger, anyway, I'm twenty eight."

"I do? Thanks, what's wrong with twenty eight?"

"Don't get me wrong, I find you very attractive, but have to ask, aren't I too old for you?"

"Chris, all the guys my age I know are only interested in partying, and getting laid. I did my share of partying, but when I decided on a nursing career, I changed. I find myself attracted to older, mature men now."

"Ok, I guess I understand, but why me? Based on past experiences, beautiful girls like yourself don't give guys like me a second look."

"Chris, don't tell me you have esteem issues, I think you're cute, funny, and any girl who didn't give you a chance is a fool! Now give me your number, and I'll call you tomorrow."

"Aren't I supposed to call you?"

"I'm not taking any chances, I'll call you, ok?"

"Ah, sure Les, I'd like that."

She programs my number into her phone, before wrapping her arms around my neck and kissing me on the lips.

I don't even remember the ride home because I'm floating on cloud nine.

I arrive home ninety minutes later than planned, and find a Mustang sitting in my driveway. I carry the groceries in through the garage, and find Carrie, Sophie, and Molly sitting at my kitchen table drinking coffee.

Carrie jumps up and throws herself into my arms.

"Bro! Where the hell you been?

Before I can respond, Sophie replaces Carrie and kisses me in way that is borderline intimate.

I see Molly's eyebrows rise in surprise at the intimacy between Sophie and I.

"Sorry Sis, I got off to a late start, how was Sydney?"

"Great, as usual. Why didn't you tell us about Molly?"

"Huh?"

"You never mentioned that you had such a cool neighbor! If it wasn't for her, we'd be sitting in the car, getting drunk on the wine we brought. You need to buy us a coffee maker asap."

Molly is sitting there with a little smile on her face. I thank her for letting the girls in, and making them coffee.

"Any time, Chris, ladies, it was a pleasure to meet you, but I have to go."

"We'll be ready to go at eleven  Molly," Carrie says as we walk Molly to the door.

"Alright brother dearest, what do you have to eat around here?"

"Kinda early for Chinese, I bought some groceries, and have 1/2 a sandwich leftover from lunch."

We return to the kitchen to find Sophie putting away the groceries. They split the remainder of my breaded steak, and we settle down to catch up.

"My god! That was 1/2 of the sandwich you had for lunch? It must have been huge."

"You'll have to try Ricobenes while your here... Is your bedroom ok? I think I have all the necessities."

"Duh, yeah it's ok! Why did you  leave the Master suite for us?"

Embarrassed, I reply, "I thought you guys would like the closet space, and soaking tub."

"Chris, thank you, you're too good to us." Sophie says with a smile.

"Aw Soph, quit embarrassing him," Carrie teases.

"Alright Sis, what's so important that you couldn't tell me on the phone?"

"We'll talk over dinner, right now I need a hot bath, and a nap, coming love?"

The girls head off to their bedroom, and I run out to get a coffee maker, and coffee.

I return home, and play a bit of Mass Effect on my computer while the girls sleep off their jet lag.

Around seven thirty Sophie walks into my office wearing an oversized satin sleep shirt and matching bikini underwear. The sight of her has me crossing my legs to hide my erection.

"Carrie will be out in a minute, are you ready to order dinner?"

"Yeah, sure, Molly told me the best Chinese is a place called Malahini Terrace. I'll have to go pick it up, they don't deliver this far."

"She left a menu earlier Chris, how much do you know about her?"

"Uh, not much, but she's gone out of her way to be helpful, and friendly. why?"

"I'm not sure, but she seems really nice, is she married, or in a relationship?"

"She's not married, that much I know. She does go out all the time, and the other neighbors seem to like her."

"I think she likes you..."

"It's probably nothing, besides she's not my type."

"I wasn't your type either, remember?" She say's playfully.

Sighing, no matter what happened in the past, I still think Sophie is the sexiest woman I've ever known.

"Chris, thank you for being the man that you are, Carrie and I love you very much."

"I love you too, please do me a favor, go get dressed, while I go take a cold shower."

"Party pooper!" Sophie is smiling as she leaves the office and returns to the bedroom to dress.

"Well?" Carrie say's when Sophie enters the room.

"He's putty in my hands, I'm a bit concerned about Molly though."

"You think Molly has a thing for Chris?"

"I'm not sure, but I do know he's not the least bit interested in her."

"But he's still hot for you?"

Sophie smiles her wicked smile and say's, "he crossed his legs as soon as I entered his office, I'd say he's still carrying a torch."

A look of relief crosses Carrie's face, and she say's, "I want to ask him, you know my reasons."

"Ok love, it's your call, let's get dressed and order dinner."

We place an order for pick up, and since Molly has circled the Chicken Pepperada on the menu, I decide to try it.

It takes me forty five minutes to get the food, but the drive was well worth it. The Chicken is very spicy, and the Egg Rolls are the best we've ever had.

I'm on my second beer, and the girls are finishing off a bottle of wine when Carrie finally say's,

"Chris, Sophie and I decided we want to have a baby."

"Ah, wow! Congratulations, you two will make great parents,"
I say to cover up my shock.

"Well, God this is hard, we've always been close, you've always been my friend when I needed one."

"Sweetheart, just ask him."

"Ask me what?"

Just as I decide to finish off my beer Carrie say's, "we want you to be the father."

Beer comes out my nose, and flys half way across the table as I choke on the remaining beer.

Sophie jumps up and starts patting my back, as Carrie starts chewing on her lower lip.

I catch my breath and say, "you want ME to jerk off into a cup so you can get pregnant?"

"Eww! No! I'm not the one who'll be carrying the baby! Sophie is!"Carrie say's indignantly, and it a much lower voice mumbles,

"We want to do this naturally, we want you to sleep with her."

I stand up and start pacing the room as Sophie wipes up the spilt beer.

The ramifications of what Carrie is asking me overwhelms my senses, and I have to sit down when my legs get rubbery.

"Are you asking me to impregnate Sophie?" I finally manage to say.

"Yes."

"Jesus Christ Carrie, you're my sister! Surely you can find a better donor than me."

"Hear her out Chris," Sophie say's as she sits next to me and takes my hand.

"Who's idea was this?" I say to Sophie.

Sophie squeezes my hand as she nods toward Carrie.

"Chris, listen to my reasons before you say no."

"Carrie, think about what your asking! You want me to father my own niece or nephew."

"Chris, please, don't make this any harder!"

Carrie takes my other hand as I turn to Sophie. "You're want to sleep with me, and get pregnant?"

"Yes, it's not like we haven't been intimate before. Despite of what you think of our past, I do love you, and can't think of any other man I'd sleep with."

"Chris," Carrie continues, "we chose you because you are genetically the closest person to me. I obviously can't impregnate her, but I want our child to have both Sophie's and my genes."

"If our child doesn't look like Sophie, I'd like it to look like me."

"Carrie, there's no..."

"Face it Chris, if you had tits you would look just like me, I'll take those odds."

Sophie laughs at that, causing me to blush as Carrie continues.

"Chris, your brilliant, cute, and level headed, you don't have any genetic flaws, or mental issues. We both agreed you were the perfect choice, or we wouldn't be asking you, we want you to give us a baby."

"Sophie, can you please give us a minute?"

Sophie pats my shoulder, and gives Carrie a supportive kiss before leaving the room.

"Chris, she is family too, and is the one planning on carrying the baby. She has every right to hear everything we talk about."

"Sis, give me a minute here ok? I need to talk to you, and Sophie's a distraction. When you're together I feel outnumbered, and outgunned, and don't need to add to the stress I'm already feeling."

"Alright Chris, just do me one favor, use that brilliant, logical mind of yours and think about my reasoning."

Carrie starts cleaning up the dishes as I sit there thinking about the issue.

"Have you told Mom and Dad?"

Carrie is rinsing the dishes and loading them into the dish washer as she replies,

"Not yet, but Dad will just say groovy and go back to restoring that dumb VW Bus, and Mom will just be happy one of us is giving her Grandkids."

I smile at the thought of my pony tailed Dad in denim overalls cussing up a storm in a most unhippy like manor, while trying to repair his pride and joy. I wish I was there to help.

Carrie has a matching smile as she hands me a fresh beer and sits down next to me.

I start peeling the label off the bottle when Carrie leans in close and say's,

"Talk to me Bro, something's really bothering you, other than the pregnancy."

"You mean other than the fact my sister, who stole my ex, want's me to impregnate said ex?"

"Please don't get ugly, you know we're both sorry about the past."

"I'm sorry Sis...I, I met someone today..."

Carrie sits back with a startled expression as I continue,

"Well technically I saw her at a party Molly threw last weekend, but she introduced herself while I was shopping today."

"Well, this is a shock! Why didn't you tell me before?"

"Molly was here, and you were jet lagged, besides I just had lunch with her, so who knows where it will go."

"Oh Bro, I hope it works out for you, tell me about her."

"Her name is Leslie, she's a nursing student."

"A student? Where?"

"College of DuPage."

"Must be a late bloomer, a junior college at our age?"

I lower my head and feel the heat creep up my ears as I mumble,

"She's twenty one."

"Woah, kind of young there, Bro."

"I know, I even mentioned it to her, but she say's she's tired of drunken frat boys."

"I see," Carrie say's, "just be careful, ok?"

"I don't think you do...What kind of a man would I be if I slept with Sophie, while starting a relationship with Leslie?"

Carrie let's out a low whistle, "you're right, I didn't see this coming."

"I need time to think things through."

"Ok Bro, we can wait... We rented a couple of movies, wanna join us?"

"Maybe next time, I'm working on some changes for my pet project."

Carrie gathers me up in a tight hug and we hold each other for a minute.

"Chris, no matter what you decide, we'll always love you, and if this Leslie hurts you, we'll hunt her down and cut her tits off!"

Carrie walks out with a smile as I look on in utter shock.

"Did I miss anything?" Sophie asks as Carrie joins her in the family room.

"Oh yeah," Carrie says while rolling her eyes. "Apparently Chris met a twenty one year old college student today, they had lunch."

Sophie's eyes narrow sharply, "Chris found a girlfriend this soon?"

"Oh yes, apparently he saw her at Molly's last week, and she's tired of drunken frat brats." Carrie continues in her best dramatic voice. "I bet she's a fucking gold digger!"

"So where does that leave us?"

"He needs time to think, he's torn between fucking you, and cheating on Leslie."

*sigh* "What do you want to do love?"

"I still think Chris is the right guy, tomorrow we'll ask Molly about Leslie when we go out with her, meanwhile maybe you can ramp up your efforts to 'convince' Chris to decide in our favor."

"Are you sure? I love teasing him, but we don't want to hurt him again."

"I know," Carrie say's with a frown, "we'll have to tread lightly, we can't lead him to believe he has a chance with you..."

*ring* "Hello Lisa..."

"Hi, hold on a second, SHUT UP BITCH! *slap*. Sorry about that, what's up?"

"Is everything ready on your end?"

"Just about, why?"

"The sister may be a problem, I want you to bring me that fake I.D. before you seduce him, he has to believe for my plan to work."

"Leave it to me, I've got it all under control..."

"Lisa, there will be consequences if you fuck this up... Understand?"

"Yes Master," the voice replies with a tremble.

Hey there.  I'm enjoying the story.  The last bit with Lisa was very confusing; it might work better in part 2, or maybe even delete it - there's already some foreshadowing going on that Leslie's off kilter somehow. Just my reaction.

My stories are multi parters, I tend to construct depth and background in the first installment, while giving my readers glimpses of the future.

Trust me, you'll understand the ending after the next installment.

That's the story I meant...."Shaghai......." That was pretty brutal but very good reading!

I love your stories because it's not ALL about sexual servitude. Your characters have depth & that's what makes them appealing to me.

Thank you very much, some writers are great at short, sex filled stories, but I just don't have that skill set. I'm the guy who has to see the big picture, and present it for everyone else to see as well.

I want to know why he's doing that, not just that he is.

oops, I guess I just gave away part of my other story...damn 12 hour shifts;)

Start here http://www.collarchat.com/m_3437791/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#3438761 and if you like it, you can search the forum for my writings. Amanda has quite a few chapters, and I have a story called Shanghaied, you may enjoy as well, though it is much darker and violent.
