I know a lady who heads the Woodhull Freedom Foundation who's a Domme (used to be pro even) who's married to a sub & has a relationship with a Dom that's lasted over three years. It does not always work out like this. People are individuals. It takes the right group of personalities to make it work. It's rare, but it can happen. If it does I think it can be very beneficial and fulfilling.
I also say she's right. Many a Dom from his ego perspective feels the need to completely own their submissives without any competition for her affection. I don't think you being a sub has as much to do with you having a piece of her attention will.
