HAHAHAAHAH!  I love it, the same over emotional, low brow stupidity I have come to expect!  Go re-watch your "Dukes of Hazard" collection and leave the adults alone!
You see "over emotional, low brow stupidity"in a request not to have an asshole put words in your mouth?
How do you figure?
Seems to me to have been a perfectly reasonable request.Do you not agree that folks should be allowed exclusivity to state their own views,in their own words, free from having another speak for them?
Would you be comfortable with me paraphrasing your beliefs and ideology in my words, and representing them as yours?
I can do that if you wish.....but considering the success you are currently hhaving in representing your character I am hesitant to interfere .

Actually doll, I have come to associate such hillbilly pursuits with the neo con faction of the population. You don't see a lot of us liberals at tractor pulls ,wrestling matches or Larry the Cable guys shows either. You might be a redneck if....ring any bells?  Or banjo music? Good.

That's funny, I always thought Democrats appealed to the laziest, and lowest life had to offer, hence the diversity.

The "where's my free shit?" And no matter how much I suck at my job, you can't fire me, crowd.

Your confusing 'Democrats' with 'Libertarians'. Democrats seem to work for a living, its the Libertarians that want everything for free (just as long as the rest of us work to support them).

Hope that helps you, subrob.

It's nice to see you have extended your bigotry to include others besides the repubs.

It is OK to admit that you didn't understand my letter to Jerry Nadler, Charles.

What makes you think he didn't understand it? It was pretty clear. What I don't understand is why you posted it here and not in the thread dealing with gay marriage. In fact the op asked why some idiots are opposed to it and you could have helped her out.

All the same nonsense about Gay Marriage in the 2000's,were the exact same nonsense that was said about Interracial Marriages in the 60's.How does 2 guys or gals marry each other have any impact on straight couples marriages? It dosen't.The aurgument used against gay marriages isn't based in any rational aurgument.Instead the aurgument against gay marriage is often based in fear tactics.Which is something Conservative Republicans are real good at.Notice I do look out the moderate Republicans. There are a few Republicans who don't do this. All 4 of them!!!

Myself, I'm seriously starting to wonder if the reason the religious right* is so rabidly opposed to allowing gay marriage might not be because if longstanding homosexual couple were allowed to tie the knot with the same legal recognition as a wifebeater and his punchbag, then they'd finally have to abandon this stupid "teh queerz iz awl promizkuos germbagz who iz after yr kidz az well'' line they've been trotting out since the late sixties at least. They'd have real trouble finding anything else to criticise gay people for as most of their other arguments to justify gay bashing are even more ridiculous than that one, which is no mean feat.

*(aka The Republican Party)

And I am seriously wondering if you are really stupid enough to believe this is a left right problem.

Never mind, I was kidding. I know you are.

I suppose judging them by their actions and not trying to group them into the left or right is out of the question?

I didn't post in the gay marriage section because I'm not on all that much.  Charles jackknifed into a tangent on gay marriage and I had dealt directly with the dip-shit Congressman, Nadler, and so it was apropo to include it.

Charles clearly didn't understand the letter.  I don't know anyone that opposes domestic partnership arrangements or super-beautiful-rainbow-love-castles (the letter to Nadler must be read to understand that characterization).  The problem is one of definition not equal rights.  Gays, lesbians, transexuals, heterosexuals should all be able to enter into a civil union and receive all the emoluments that a married couple receive and, of course, there union should only be able to be dissolved in a court of law where the rights and liabilities of each party are determined.  That is my opinion, at least.

As far as SlaveMike4u, he is a bloviator who adds nothing to a conversation.  You can trust SlaveMike to post stuff that is utterly devoid of facts, statistics, law or even the opinion of someone SlaveMike considers and authority on a subject.

What is the essential difference between liberals and conservatives?  Conservatives oppose confiscatory taxation and a strong central government and liberals beleive in a secular state with the kind of social contract that was proposed by Rousseau.  That is basicially it.  The Founders were conservatives....every one of them......except for Hamiliton who wanted a Monarchy.

Look...very shortly, it will all be irrelevant.  The republicans want 61 billion dollars slashed from the budget.  That will do NOTHING.   The undeniable fact for those who are not too stupid to understand it is that our debt will exceed our GDP and vastly so.  There are examples of when that has happened, the Weimar Republic in Germany for one.  But you are going to see modern day examples all over Europe.

There was a guy on here who called himself Fargle or something.  He had a tag line that said something to the effect that it is not often you get to see a culture collapse and that we were in for one hell of a ride.  He and I were opposed in a lot of what we believe.  But we both beleived in his tag line, just for the opposite reasons.

Steven, a few years ago there was an e-mail or whatever going around comparing Democrat women to Republican women.
Hopefully someone in here can re-post that!!!
I think you'll enjoy it very much!

Did it go something like this?

"So DYB, did you learn anything on your date with Andrea Dworkin?"
"Yeah, two things, one, never get in a buffalo-wing eating contest with her and two, Ann Coulter is a Goddess!"

Probably the only Republican a Democrat would consider voting for. Maybe he has some ideas about what to do in Libya and how to fix the budget deficit. Democrats and Republicans can vote for Donald Trump so maybe he can win.

After suspending top Republicans, Fox News gives Trump his own regular segment

Billionaire Donald Trump plans to run for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination in 2012, and he’s been hitting up the Fox News Channel quite a lot to promote his ambitions.

Though he’s not a paid contributor, “Mondays with Trump” is now apparently slated to become a regular segment on “Fox and Friends” — a move that strikes some media critics as “surprising.”

There is a difference bewteen the 2 parties voters.Democrats rely on a mix bag of voters.A rather diverse coalition of voters.Liberals, minoritys, women, considerate, passionate voters.Republicans usually rely on the same type of voters.Older whites, those who don't want change, the biggots, the depressed and anrgy voters.

While Democrats are the party of peace and happiness, getting such a diverse group of voters to vote at 1 time is tough.Thats usually because these people actually have something else to do with their life. While Republicans voters are very well organized.Especially the older white votes. These people have nothing better to do and since they don't want progress, they have that extra time to come out and vote.

2012 will be an interesting election for America. Will Obama be able to bring out the record number of voters that he did in 2008?Will the GOP continue to use the Tea Partys vote for their advantage and bring out the more angry voters?Only time wil tell.

Dworkin died in 2005. And while she was anti-porn her stance actually corrected a lot of the abuses of women in the porn industry.
