LoveSparkie -> Financial Domination? (4/11/2011 3:33:40 PM)

The past few days I have seen MULTIPLE profiles of people claiming their fetish to be "financial domination." All the profiles I've seen are woman my age (18-25), all of them calling everyone that looks at their profile to be "worthless" unless they give them money.

I know financial domination is not a new thing, but is this becoming a new fad for young woman? Another way to become gold-diggers? A get rich quick using their sex appeal sort of thing?

You could always write to THEM and ask them their reasons.

That would be the obvious thing to do, wouldn't it? I have and received no response..of course. But thank you for the suggestion. :-)

I always assumed that these Dommes were of the attitude, "If you're willing to do it....who am I to argue."

The facts:
  • One partner is giving money to the other.
  • The other partner is providing sexual gratification (possibly among other things)

Beyond that you have no way of knowing what the motives are. My suspicion is that they are unique to everyone. There are undoubtedly some who are using it as a synonym for "prostitution" but I suspect the real answer goes way further than that.

But you see, not receiving NO RESPONSE, is actually receiving the response that partially answers your question.

Those who can not find the words to respond are in general, just looking for a free ride...but to actually say the words or write the words, paints them in a bad light, something that they are not willing to do.

Now, to receive a response...that's the one you want [8D] The one's who respond are the one's who are willing to answer a question that MAY paint them in a bad light, but they are honest enough to admit it and explain it.

I suppose that makes sense. I guess I don't understand it, because its something I could never do. I'm the type of girl that always wants to pay for my half of the meal on a date or else I feel terrible. So out right demanding someone's money is just mind boggling to me. But if thats what people like to do..more power to them as long as no one gets hurt.

IrishMist -> RE: Financial Domination? (4/11/2011 3:42:35 PM)

One more thing...you are going to learn that there are actually men and women here at collarme that actually get off on giving all their money to a stranger. [&:]

LoveSparkie -> RE: Financial Domination? (4/11/2011 3:46:46 PM)

I've seen a few of those profiles too and like I said if thats their thing then more power to them.

I think its just the profiles that say "I will leave you broke and crying" and such things like that, that make me curious as to the motives.

Funny thing is..I understand why a dom/domme gets off on making their sub/slave "cry" through physical means, but I don't get this. haha a bit ironic?

    Not really
    /shrug
I get off on pain, but I never could understand what the person on the other end was getting...

Such is the way of things at times...why question the unanswerable?

NocturnalStalker -> RE: Financial Domination? (4/11/2011 4:31:27 PM)

Financial Domination is for guys that steal Facebook photos of attractive females and coincidentally never give validation that they are indeed, the person they are on the profile picture.  If by the off chance they are a woman, it is a get-money-quick scheme and usually means they suck at working a pole at the strip club.

Then you have the minority of people that fall for this stuff, or derive some enjoyment out of it and I wonder why they don't just donate their money to a better cause rather than some 3/10 blowjob chick.

MrRodgers -> RE: Financial Domination? (4/11/2011 4:47:26 PM)

Not that much different than 'send money to Ghana' and I'll come be your slave. If there are those that will fall for it.....?

    Greetings,

Since others have addressed one side of your question i'll speak of the other end. There are also some dominant persons that require financial control and in some cases asset acquisition when they take ownership of an individual. The degree of management varies with each couple. In some instances she has zero access to funds save what he gives or provides for her through other means. There are situations where a subsidiary account exists for household expenses and a modest personal allowance, but the primary funds are placed elsewhere. Finally, there are those that allow full access but require prior notification before any monies are spent.

There is another aspect of this that i didn't address above and that relates to the property's earning power. In some relationships where the dominant wields total financial control, the other party is unemployed or restricted in that capacity according to the owner's preferences. Obviously that changes the landscape and brings in positive outcomes and some that may be less than such. It needn't be bad if everyone has entered the situation with their eyes open and is consciously aware of what they're signing on to.

i'll include a caveat to note that i'm addressing relationships that are typically conducted under the same roof on a continual basis. i have never encountered anyone that engaged in the first scenario to that degree that didn't reside with their Owner.

    Namaste,

    ~porcelaine

I just figure it's a rough economy and they're having trouble getting a decent job. As such they figure if someone wants to give them money, why shouldn't they take it?

    submitting4U -> RE: Financial Domination? (4/11/2011 6:21:37 PM)

It's an honest play if you get what you are asking for, namely one sends the money and the other one laughs and gives nothing but insults. ... Never my cup of tea, I've learned that all relationships are transactional and equity is never a given. Over time, a real dominant and skilled Domina will take you for the proverbial ride ... but at some level it is what you want, to be exploited by the vamp ... There is a rise in online scamming, secondary to the "rebounding" economy ... and states emptying the prisons to reduce spending ... D/s is a two sided coin ... like cops and robbers ... they're closer than you know!

This is a mix of financial domination and humiliation.

Yeah, humiliation is a soft limit for me, but I do like those "physical means".

Financial Domination. Some unemployed chick rips a few pics off a porn site and posts them and asks for "tribute".

I assume it works because so many of them do it. Look at it this way, you have an hour of your time and no money invested. The potential return is in the thousans of $.

Hell, if I had tits, I'd try it too.

Come to think of it, a lot of the "financial Dommes" are prob middle aged dudes like Me.

If financial domination is not a new thing, why would you want to exclude 18-25yo from practicing it? What would you say we should allow them to participate in.

Gold digging, is very hard work IMO, and good luck to anyone willing to try that hard. Get rich quick? Do you know anyone who's gotten rich from financial domination? I've never heard of any. M

How many things on the kink list do you understand, and could do? Does it bother you that some people like to ingest feces? Do you understand it, and could you do it? Not understanding, saying you could never do it, and insisting on going dutch might very well be your thing, but don't assume it makes you special in any way.

Going dutch, is the most unromantic, biggest sign of incompatibility to me. If I want to pay for dinner, I'll do the inviting, or go out with my sibblings or friends. If I go out to dinner with a man who asked me out, who can afford to pay it, and he does not, it would be our first and last date. Incidentally, that's never happed to me; go out with a really cheap guy. M
