DarkSteven -> Colbert shows Kyl no mercy. (4/12/2011 10:09:45 PM)

But I don't think any is warranted.  First we had "misspeaking", and then "inoperative".  Now Kyl's whopper was explained by saying that it was "not intended to be a factual statement."

Colbert's response: http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2011/04/12/stephen-colberts-not-factual-hashtagging/?hpt=C2

Stewart And Colbert had it down , bloody brilliant,
for comedians.
Along with doocy and friends, and Kyl,  the lying sacks of shit are spouting  more every day
"not intended to be a factual statement." I can see this is gonna be the excuse of the next year or so from the wrong wingers
Its so poor its truly pathetic, how is anyone taking them seriously

DarkSteven -> RE: Colbert shows Kyl no mercy. (4/13/2011 6:03:58 AM)

Actually, this could kill off Kyl's career.  He'd have a hard time in any campaign now being taken seriously, after Colbert.

oh

Along with, "This is only opinion not real news."

Wonders aloud if the "not intended as a factual statement" will be accepted by the Mods here. :)

He's retiring, so look for him to be a new commentator on Fox News in 2013.

I expect they meant that he was being hyperbolic, though it was definitely hilarious the way it came out.

I don't think that falls in the category of hyperbole.

More like utter stupidity or an outright lie.
