House Republicans’ Medicare Plan on Hold in Debt-Limit Talks House Republican leaders said they would place on hold a plan to privatize Medicare health coverage for the elderly because of political obstacles and concentrate on finding common ground with President Barack Obama on spending cuts. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-05-05/house-republicans-medicare-plan-on-hold-in-debt-limit-talks.html Looks like they`re starting to crack.

They only agreed to put it on hold? They should've dropped it completely along with the idea of putting spending caps on medicaid. I guess republicans want all the elderly people with alzheimers to get kicked out of nursing homes and live under bridges once they exceed their medicaid spending cap. For anyone who doesn't know, Medicaid pays for long term nursing home care not Medicare.

LOL just mentioned it in another thread..Im glad to hear it, altho, Im biased towards "socialist" health care anyway GLad to see theyve come to some senses
