We'll start with Salmon and artichoke cream cheese dip with pita crisps for an appetizer.  Then what the French call a "composed" salad of chopped Romaine, with olives and mini-tomatoes.  Shaved Pamesan cheese, of course. Light vinegarette with olive oil and herbs de Provance.

I'm thinking steak with garlic mashed potatoes.  A side of fresh carrots from the farmer's market - they had a yellow variety called "King's Gold."  So, mixed colors of carrot coins, sauteed in butter.  Add a dill, garlic, onion, etc. spice combo I have and finish with a splash of white wine.

Dessert?  Home-made strawberry ice-cream with a drizzle of dark vanilla "simple syrup."
