there's plenty of good advice posted above me, but they are just band-aids. i have to ask...why transition? why not just live together?  to me one long weekend a month is a casual play partner.

Because if the problem is the endorphin drop from a huge scene living with the person isnt going to prevent the drop. The body crashes even if you live full time with your partner... or if you dont.

yeah, but if he/she is there with you its a whole fuck of a lot easier to deal with.

Ah yes, sub drop. Sleep, orgasms, chocolate. And yes, play in the beginning and make your last day the relaxing one when you have a good meal or two and nap. Since you seem to do better expending energy rather than not having any, try working out. You can run, lift weights, dance videos at home or go to the gym.

Women will find ANY excuse to get chocolate. Any!
:-)

lol when you bleed every month, bend over and vomit from what a doctor calls "normal cramps" and pass a watermelon out your nether regions you can knock the miracle that is chocolate. It doesn't cure everything but it sure makes you not care so much about... everything. Trypotophan is our friend :)

Yeah, but we gotta put up with ya! :-)

Thank you kalikshama for the links. And thanks to everyone else who has posted so far. Now I have a term for what I'm going through that seems a little more easily understood - sub drop.

And thank you very much SpiritedRadiance for the snack suggestions! I do actually usually eat a very light snack after a heavy play session, to make sure my blood sugar doesn't tank. I'll try focusing more on the protein rich foods and see if that helps.

hannah lynn - I would way rather that D and I weren't in a long distance relationship. But for the next little while, that's just the way it has to be. Work is doing me the favour of transfering me a heck of a lot closer to him, and if things work out, we will be living together in the near future. But that's something that will have to come as it comes.

And DeviantlyD...if you can convince D that I can safely come clean your house, I'll be there with bells on. Although I'd way rather do it in the winter, if that's ok with you. It gets bloody cold up here around January! I'd do almost anything to spend some time in a warmer clime...
