I wouldn't rule out someone, because he called me ebony, any more than if he called me black, or brown skinned. I would rule the person out, if he approached me like my color was the only reason he thought me of any value.
To me, the second case is like straponlover, or the newly formed BEC-LOVER wrote to me. [8D] M

I am typically approached in the manner of "OH EBONY GODDESS....yada yada yada".

that says they only want me for my skin tone is. And from my understanding, ebony is well...black...wood. I'm not complimented by the notion at all.

What you Ladies say about not wanting a guy only for your skin tone is something I do understand.I guess for me I do have a preference for darker skin women.However,I feel conflicted because of this.I don't only want to be with a girl because she is darker skinned than I am.I want that girl to know that I want to be with her because of who she is.I don't want her to think I could easily just replace her with another black girl or so on.I try to find that healthy balance.
