Imperialism could it be renamed as we reap what we sow ?

Furthermore is Imperialism right, is it what we want ?

(In saying is it what we want, I am meaning the majority of people )

But an article although a little old, it does explain much, oh, and for those who quest of origins to determine validity, just have an open mind for a while to consider the question )

I'd question that there's any point renaming it. It's a pretty good description of a few countries' international holdings, even if they aren't run by an somebody with absolute power who dresses in purple...

An,   it really is unbecoming of us.     One thing to consider is each lie requires yet another lie.   Not only is everyone not on the same page-  but many not in the same book.

-->  so imperialism is not a "right",  I think with the powers that be fall short on- the sum of the parts are greater then the whole.  Where as they seek the whole- rather then the sum of the parts.

Every entity - nation, individual, or corporation - has the right to act in its own self interests.  At what point does that become imperialism?

Generally when a country starts running vassal states, though I suppose you could argue that it doesn't really apply until a country's economy will collapse if it doesn't keep expanding its holdings. You're already pretty well established as an imperial power by the time that's likely to become a problem, though. (In fact, Rome and the British Empire were both already on the way down when that became clear.)
