Why? Cause I won't play kiss-ass or psychoactive economics so you can have a warm fuzzy and feel all libertarian and shit?
hahaha

Times are tough SELL EAST TEXAS. There are plenty of Japanese folk looking to relocate RIGHT NOW. We can make a killing with all that coastal property. we relocate the population to Utah's wasteland and say "no you know how NOLA felt thanks for Dubya.

Yet another point you don't understand.

All the U.S. currency and coin, total, is just over $900 billion. We don't print trillions.

That's because money and currency are not the same thing.

Hey cookie monster just cause you don't understand it doesn't make it a rant. Neither does using some caps for emphasis.

Fact is, we watch this every day here and everywhere else on the internet from people inventing facts as they go along. A complete moron can glean that we are deficit spending. But they continually prove they don't really understand the specific historical events or who really sold it to em.

besides of course my obviously creative idea of selling off east texas, everything else can be backed up with independent documentation.
what's really bugging you? Did you just say yes to dinner with Ron Paul before you read the thread?

He's right "currency" is figurative.

MOST of it is on paper and only exists by agreement.

Not even close.

About $900 billion in currency and over $8 trillion in money at the time of the link I provided to illustrate (2009).

People are rarely paid in currency. Purchases are frequently done without currency. Loans aren't made in currency.

Not at all the same.

I am not in favor of selling our gold.

...I think Ron Paul is after an audit- which he has pushed for years.

He wants an audit of the Federal Reserve (which actually is audited annually anyway) not the Treasury. It is the Treasury that owns Fort Knox, not the Fed. However, the NY Fed has MORE gold than Fort Knox has.

Who gives a fuck about the Chinese? We're selling REAL Estate... The only people that are getting burned are the people who live there and after sheltering raising and educating George Walker Bush and being so nice to his extended family, you might be asking the wrong person to give a rats ass.
Understand that we already dis this once in microcosm. You know how many people fell prey to forced relocation and property loss after Katrina?
Besides ... you know what the Chinese are and have been doing for the past 3 or 4 years. They are systematically dumping US dollars they buy whole companies and parts of countries just to spend the dollars they have in reserve, the gamble being that sometime inside the next 2-10 years that the dollar will no longer be the enumerating currency in the world and that they'll be sitting fat not holding anything but the hot currency.

Thanks for bringing the calculator... I mean I'm having some fun being the Anti-Ron Paul, but there's a couple of folks who need to understand the fundamental principals.

56k an ounce for gold ... don't send that dude out for a bag

What it is is just complete nonsense... all any of this thread will prove (heh... least once I am done) is that Ron Paul is breathing something OTHER than oxygen.

neither is a 100 dollar bill and 100 1 dollar bills, however functionally they are the same.

so how does your distinction change inflation
