All the ones I know do it for the money. The like that they can get paid for doing something they enjoy. Kinda like someone who likes to cook will become a chef.

And judging from your profile, you seem to be a lot older, yet you think that Pro Dommes and pro subs are a recent thing in the London scene? About 10 years ago I noticed quite a lot in London, what did you do? Wear a blindfold or not leave the house and you did not have a computer?

Makes me question how active you are in the scene, but next time I'm in London, please say hello at an event, or ask one of your friends to introduce you, since you are active in the scene, I assume you go to many events...

Your right, I know a few submissive females pro & lifestyle and no they do not involve any sexual orientation .. its all about the BDSM, power exchange, humiliation, what ever their aspects and yes it is always discussed before hand and experienced players will always use a safe word.

Okay, fella.  For all your claimed experience, you seem to be making a very simple, basic mistake.  You are equating BDSM activities with sex.  Dominatrices will flog, whip, and spank for money, but I've never heard of one who will do any kind of sex for money.  That is plain illegal.  It's called prostitution.

I'm not sure why you're mystified.  Surely, since you're a Dom, you understand how topping fills a need.  It fills a need n some people who have estrogen instead of testosterone, too.

And getting paid to do what you like.... why not?

Your Germaine Greer concept mystified me, as though feminism and femdom are mutually incompatible.  There are some female subs who have a conflict resolving being a feminist with liking to get Dominated.  But I've never heard of a Domme with that same problem.

This raises an interesting question...
In the UK prostitution itself is not illegal, but soliciting it is. Thus if a person were to advertise themself purely as a pro-domme and a customer were to engage with her purely for this purpose, she could then charge him for sexual activity after or during the scene without breaking any laws.
I'm not particularly knowledgeable when it comes to law. Does this loophole work? Do people take advantage of it? I assume it's probably massively impractical to use as a defence if it came to it, still the possibility of it is interesting.

I'm still mystified that he believes there are no male pro-doms. Lots of them in the gay scene. Although the ads I've seen seem to suggest that sex isn't off the table.

I used manage an escort agency.  A lot of working girls like sex . . . but what they do with their clients is work.  Fucking a bunch of strangers and bolstering their egos about their jobs and listening to their troubles about their wives is . . . well, probably as much fun as dressing strangers up in diapers and acting out the abandonment issues they had with their mommies.
