The other reason dominant women aren't going to hate and despise all submissive women is that they would wind up hating their own mothers, sisters and frequently themselves. Any good mother who cooks and cleans up for her kids since she's doing it not because it gives her any zing but because she wants to please them. So she makes their favorite dessert when they've had a bad day and so on.

And, I do not correlate pleasing anyone with being submissive. Wanting to please someone CAN be an act of submission but not necessarily. It very likely could be that good parenting is simply being a responsible, loving parent. And it could be that doing something that pleases someone simply means you care about them and want them to be happy, to feel loved.

I agree, I like people to have a good time when they visit, I like cooking and all that, I enjoy it, doesn't make me submissive, it's just that I am a person outside of a BDSM context as well....

Killing time whilst watching a rerun and went over to the sub male thread on the Master forum. Appalling. Just fucking APPALLING. The level of misogyny on these boards is over the top. It's no wonder I stepped back and didn't miss anything. How many hateful people can there be on one website? I know that Fet is drenched with hate and entitlement, but CM has been my on line "home" for so long, I feel more proprietary. I would say "brainbleach" but there's no point in ignoring evil and dysfunction. Ugh. ~shudder~ and I only got to page 15!

(fast reply) I believe that anytime anyone bucks the system you will get blow-back. This means that in our current society (Western Society) men are perceived as Dominant and woman as submissive. Thus when you get either gender not adhering to their specified gender roles you will get resistance. Usually the harshest resistance from those whose very sense of self is wrapped up in this paradigm. I don't find it surprising that male submissives and female Dominants are hated and loathed on BDSM sites or even in larger society. I do however find it sad. Wickad

I haven't even gone back to see if anyone responded, and i am narcissistic enough that I almost always do. I only belong to a handful of groups on Fet, but I haven't seen much hate in them. Pomposity, yes. I think it is a matter of deciding where you want to belong, and who you want to talk to. Domiguy and Awareness are correct that the fucked-up to sensible ratio among people with abiding bdsm fantasies is extremely high. You might find that ironic enough to make you snort, but I do believe it is true.
