Anyway, like I said in my original post, I've spoken with a number of young women who have been subject to this particular scam, and yes they do threaten them, with getting them kicked off and banned from the site mostly, but depending on what information they have wheedled out of the girls the threats might be of a somewhat more frightening nature. if they have managed to get an off-site email from the girl, they can get the IP, and from that can get quite a lot of info, depending on where the girl is sending from (one was at her college using the wifi, and from that the scammer found out what college she was attending...you can imagine what sort of threats followed with that little snippet of info). But the real point is that it is young inexperienced girls that are targeted. I wouldn't expect somebody with your experience (in life, the lifestyle, and on CM) to be worried by this sort of scam, but to somebody brand new it can be very frightening and disconcerting.
