[:D]I am actually seriously considering doing the MCM again in 2012.  I know that if I train w/the woman I ran the 10k with I'll finish strong!  Crossing that finish line last year was THE ultimate high but this time I would like to do it w/o every nerve in my body screaming at me to STOP!!

I stopped WW last month because I thought that I could manage my diet on my own.  I just joined to get my eating habits back on track.  As of this AM I'm down 13lbs!  Last night I did a 45minute "Step & Sculpt" class which was high energy/impact & tonight I'll be doing a 5k on the treadmill.

Let's see...I did the 10k on Sunday, did a "Step & Sculpt" class on Monday, 5k on the treadmill on Tues and a circuit training class last night.  I'm thinking that I should go home today and prepare some meals for myself to freeze.  Since I let my girl go I've seriously neglected my "healthy" diet.  Not to say that I eat junk, I just don't eat ENOUGH of anything these days.  I eat healthy --when I do eat-- but last night's class showed how I need that fuel.  I was seriously struggling and just going thru the motions (barely).

Agreed Lilly I was just concerned because my gym is having a "challenge" where we come in at least 2x's a week to do the 5k on a treadmill and since there are no group classes that I like on Tues/Thurs that's when I've been doing it.  I'll have to go for a make up night or try tomorrow before "Body Sculpting" class.
Too bad you don't live closer, we could hit the pavement together for our runs!

Last night nothing but cleaning/cooking.

Today I started with a full freezer and a clean home so I can go to Body Sculpting class tonight w/a clear conscious and a properly fueled body[:D]

I'll be working in the doggie daycare tomorrow so no running unless we have a small group of dogs.  If so then I can take 2 out for a couple of miles.  Sunday I'll do some running/walking for distance.

but that's a plus.

the thing i didn't think about with all of this is as the rest of me is getting smaller, clothes aren't fitting -- but especially my shoes! my shoes are starting to slip off. =p has anyone heard of spacer thingies you put in the heels of shoes to size them down? i love my shoe collection and i don't want to have to give them away. haha
whenever i ask people about the spacers they look at me like i'm nuts, but i know they exist. my old roommate always had them.

Well this morning I went for a run and it didn't go well. Another day with an ice cold stiff breeze and my lungs kept tightening up and refusing to let go. I only ran half of what I normally do and decided I didn't want to pass out on the sidewalk. So, I'll just have to suck it up and get in to a doctor and see about getting an inhaler. First, though, I think I'll at least try a mask that covers the mouth and nose; maybe if I can get some of the air warmed up before I breathe it in, it won't trigger the asthma junk. Ugh...

So, I'll just do the rest of my exercises later, and play around with the new work out video for more cardio.

I have asthma too. A mask will help. When I'm on the bike in the winter I use a balaclava. But you need to keep your chest as warm as you can.

You might try and find a place around your halfway point that you can stop in a warm your lungs up before you do the other half.

That's a good idea. I might modify my route to include a gas station that's near the halfway point. Thenn I can pop in and warm up.

(sorry for the short message, I was just so startled to see this on the ticker that I had to come over and say something. It's a true something, though. I'm not anything like up to 'speed' yet. I've not been at either my best nor my most inspired, but these are states which can be altered by sheer force of will, so it's ok, I'll get there.
