http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/05/25/cnbc-marks-the-death-of-anchor-mark-haines/?src=busln. This is the news I woke up to today (well, yesterday now). I don't know if anyone here watched CNBC regularly, or heard Mark Haines announce "From the Financial Capital of The World, this is Squawk on the Street," while sitting next to Erin Burnett, at 9am, every morning. He was, in my opinion, the best, most honest, direct anchor I've ever seen... On par with the late Tim Russert. No one here may know or care, but the news made me very sad, and so here I post it, in case anyone watched, and loved him, like I did. Rest In Peace Mr Haines. M
