Not at all.  There is no mistake.   He is not a constitutionalist in the real sense of the word.

Economically he's a dipshit, and hes rather disingenuous with his constitution reading, He introduced a bill at the federal government level to do some monkey business with the state of texas teachers, which is not an enumerated power.

He certainly is not a fiscal conservative.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,292334,00.html  and the free market is where in that? The smaller government? The constitutionality?

Nah, hes talker, not a doer of what he says.

Pimpy: the subject is the patriot act. For those who feel that is an issue of crucial importance, the ONLY way to make your voice heard in the forthcoming presidential race is to register Republican and vote for him.
Regarding the other issue, note that he is merely oppossed on principle to the FEDS forming enormous bureaucracies to deal with them on a totally top down basis.
So you need to decide if you are willing to accept a policy of policing the world (and making enemies) and an insane drug law at home (both of which you apparently abhor) as a necessary price to pay for having our government handling everything at a federal level rather than closer to home by the states.
Seems like too high a price to me!

You mean in contrast to the MAJORITY once the votes are counted. Interesting how republicans still to this day do this routine of insulting someone and then urging them to register republican... pay attention to the next post and learn something FOR A CHANGE

But no, fuck Ron Paul. Paul thinks there is really no role for government in public life. He’s talked about abolishing half the departments in the federal government, including the Department of Education, the HHS, the Department of Energy, Homeland Security, the IRS…

Rand paul, Ron Paul, Mrs Paul, fuck em all...

I find it hilarious, how people jump on Ron Paul, for being unrealistic. As opposed to what? The realists running the country? Last I looked this country is still being propped up via artificially low interest rates, they are drowning us in debt, our military is still all over the planet.

So, you go to a neocon and say we should pull most of the troops from around the world, we can't afford it, The neocon replies, that's not realistic, the world is a daaaannnngerous place, look out behind you, whoops, thought I saw a terrorist.

So, you go to a liberal, and say we don't need a department of education. The liberal replies, what about all the poor children, he wants to make them pay for their education, of for shame, it's not realistic to not have the government (federal), involved, as everyone deserves an equal chance....

You go to another, constitutionalists well, they believe in a literal interpretation of the constitution, so, that means everything would go back to exactly the same as the day it was written, there would be slavery, etc.... Good loorrdddy jesus, Ron Paul supports slavery.... No, I believe they clarified the whole slavery thing, via legitimate means, and I've yet to see one person advocate for a return to freaking slavery.

Lol, it's just to retarded, Ron Paul is not bringing back slavery, he would send education back to the states, and neocons will bankrupt this country before they'll ever acknowledge we spend to much on the military, and maybe terrorism is an overblown threat in proportion to the resources we are devoting to fighting it.

Oh, yes, the IRS, is 100% unnecessary, Ron Paul said while it's not his preference, he would prefer a National sales tax over the current system. Just because someone has an ideal vision in their head, doesn't mean they won't compromise in the name of getting at least a better system than the existing one. I mean we all know Obama isn't getting everything he wants, we can still own property, guns, and there isn't a 90% income tax (exaggerating just a little), and Bush didn't get everything he wanted either, considering we aren't at war with every country in the world, and haliburton doesn't own everything.

So, anyway, it's all funny at this point, everyone is holding on to their little propped up slice of the pie. So, we'll NEVER NEVER NEVER get out of the mess. Neocons will vote for Romney, Welfare/Federal/IRS lovers will vote Obama, and megacorps will build all the nice guns, planes etc... for the bloated military regardless of who wins. I mean, seriously, Obama LOVES the shit out of some war. And Just look at Romney's 2008 ads, Terrorist this, and Terrorist that, so either way that military budget is not going down much.

Really, it matters not, if you are voting for Obama or Romney, or whatever sorry alternative that is no different than the rest gets the Repub Nomination. They'll all bail out the banks, they'll all support this bloated military, they'll rob the nation blind to fund medicare. And the country will gradually decline.

Can't wait.

Fun Times. (Sarcasm)

So, my question if not Ron Paul, then who? I'm not attached to him, he's just a dude, so who else will actually, do something about military spending, in a meaningful amount? How else won't get us in these dumb conflicts over oil. Who else, will actually cut anything of consequence. I see no one else. I wish there was.

So, belittle, bemoan, begrudge, the current leading jesters are far worse.

You sort of need more than one person to get something done. Don't you think. Is it his fault we elect goons that love the patriot act? Is it his fault we elect those that have no regard for any form of fiscal discipline. Is it his fault, for every one rational politician we send 20 up there that are purely looking to score for themselves and just enough for their district to get reelected.

So, whatever, that holds little water with me.

That is like saying, you are a terrible charity fundraiser, because you couldn't collect anything in a house of thieves, well no shit.

And the president alone cant get anything done, but that isn't stopping many folks from ignoring the fact that congress amend his bills to death and world leaders diplomatically mire his policies abroad.

If he had anything that set him apart in 20+ years..............but he don't.

So, you'll be getting more of the same.

Garbage in Garbage out. BUT, BUT that garbage is in the majority so that's enough to get some shit done, so that seems to meet the standards. Doesn't mean it'll be good, but I'm Sure something will get done. It's like the battered wife running back to what she knows, though professing she wants to leave, and always hoping, it'll be different this time. HE PROMISED.

Anyway, I don't even know why I worry about it anymore, I'll be okay, I'm frugal, I save, I have few real bills. It's the other 70% of the population that will suffer. So, Whatever, screw yourselves, fight over inconsequential differences. Disregard anyone saying anything more than superficially different, while complaining they are all the same.

All, I know, is what is happening is not good. If it is satisfactory by all means elect the same archetypes. If not find another.

Ummmm given the fact that you've just spent half a page doing all the name calling and ranting you accuse others of, along with the implication you're kind of like the only person here that 'has it right'. I have just one question for you.....

So, how many Paul supporters ya figure you picked up with that dandy little rant?
I'm guessing between zero and 1 depending on whether you're schizo or not.
Don't worry I don't expect an actual answer. Though you will continue to rant now that the chickens have been fed.

Nice ,,, BTW  - Jerry's weapon of choice in the army was a large caliber stationary gun like a howitzer or 50mm anti-aircraft gun.

1 down, 3 to go. Good game but if it werent for the bullshit GI call on the 5 on 3 (which should have been a dive on Thomas) it probably wouldnt have been such a nailbiter.

I'm not recruiting.

I was ranting, because it doesn't matter up here. I come here to see the delusion of the current left wing thinking, predominantly. As make no doubt this site, is highly tilted towards the left. There are a few that are closer to the middle, and a couple that are neocons. But overall this is a very left leaning forum. So, there is a very small set of those that would even consider Ron Paul's views to begin with. And those that would consider him, already have.

I wish I was schizo, then I could relate to many of the fanatic dem and repub supporters.
Like understand how one can be a fiscal conservative, while at the same time supporting a one trillion dollar plus a year war machine. That seems quite schizo to me.

Or like Obama saying he is for the middle class and poor, yet supporting the bailouts that overwhelmingly helped the rich, and a one trillion dollar plus a year war machine, seems to me it'd be better if one believes in redistribution of wealth, to reduce the military and give some tax breaks to the middle class, and or small business, or keep the debt under control. Nope, he only increases debt, and keeps everything that Bush did, more or less.

Schizo? you have to be shizo, to support the mainstream dem or repub candidates.

Anyway, I'm not recruiting here, I've never tried recruiting here, I never will try recruiting here. If I "recruit" it would be in real life, anyway. Not on a sub forum, that is an extention of a BDSM site. LOL. Whatever....

Are you recruiting?
