i don't understand what is upsetting about someone viewing you who is not in your target demographic. Every now and then, someone journals about Dommes viewing a Dom....and why are they looking at me....etc. Why does that upset someone? i am a sub, looking for a Dom male, but when others look at my profile, i don't get bent out of shape. Can't one be curious about others?

My theory is that doms feel threatened: if a dom views me, I just go 'bleah' and delete their pic from the wall, dust my hands, and they're forgotten. But doms send very threatening and abusive 'roid-rage letters if I click on their pic only to discover they're not my flavour or on their profile if their trollish pathology piques my interest to see if it extends to their profile, or, get this, that they requested feedback on their profile: 'How dare you even look at me, you *** *ing , you sick . You deserve to be -ed, -ed and left for dead in the desert, and my buddies will your **, you ***' is a common form. Only not spelt this well ;-)

There was a dom that came up in my basic search criteria that had a really large font all in caps rant about this topic. He was saying "If you are a man don't look at my profile, I am not gay, stop looking"....He had a photo of a well endowed female with her legs spread as his primary photo[8\|] I emailed him and told him the reason why so many men were viewing his profile is that there was a nude female as the primary photo... he emailed me back that he had never even considered this....

A couple days ago, I had 14 back to back views by Domme profiles. It was rather uncanny, to the point I double checked my actively seeking settings. LOL It was just a one day trend though.

I post a lot here and I figure that most of the views My profile gets are folks that want to know "what kinda fucking idiot would post that crap?" [8D]

I get that every once in a while either when I light up someone's burners and they pop into that "who's viewing me" db and hey, when it turns red I look and sometimes, I even look back. And on a couple of very rare occasions, I'll have some other Dom snap his freakin cookie in my inbox and depending on the mood, I might reply and recommend help. And on an entirely different hand, I'll post and near as I can tell from the names showing up in the thread, I kinda presume they are visiting just because. And frankly, I find that complimentary. Anybody of healthy psychological make-up should probably find it at least entertaining, if nothing else. Just remember, with some of the people you are hanging out with on this site, well ... how do I put this... THEIR KOOKS! And most others aren't... well we're probably not dangerous anyway. BTW - While typing this I viewed yours ... so TAG ... YOUR IT!

I've said this a few times over the years. It completely amazes Me that anyone can actually keep up with how many people are viewing them, much less allow it to bother someone. I'm just an average chick and that dang thing is constantly lit up. If it's not a name that I know from the forums, I don't even pay attention. The whole page will change by tomorrow, so who cares? I'd put that in the don't sweat the small stuff category.

I browse profiles that are interesting, have great pics, are local, whatever. I also browse profiles that make me wonder whether the owner is actually an inhabitant of the same planet as me. I rarely leave messages unless I have something positive to say. If I'm in a pissy mood I will deliberately click on profiles that demand I don't look at them unless I'm X, Y and Z when I know that I'm actually A, B and C. I also click on the ones that demand I leave a message if I browse their profile...just cos I know it'll push some whiny-ass' buttons when I don't. [:D]

I do the same thing!! The ones that bitch about male Doms viewing them...I view them repeatedly just to piss them off. I should do it as Arswine, that way when they write to complain that a man viewed them I can write back: "I am not man, I am puppet!"

I'm pretty understanding about it. Since people don't always have themselves as their primary and some names are rather up in the air it can be a guessing game. Probably nothing to worry about. Unless you have a stalker poking at your profile each and everyday.

I don't care who looks at my profile, it's not like there are a limited number of spots for viewing or anything like that, but I noticed that the last 2 months or so I have consistently had 9 out of 10 views of my profile by Dommes. It didn't upset me, but was curious as to why I was suddenly having Dommes check my profile. Didn't think of the bots thing.

That's because some people on collarme feel like a view is an expression of sexual interest. I figure if someone views me and doesn't contact me, that's an expression of no interest. I once viewed a particularly obnoxious profile (because a friend told me I HAD to check it out). The owner of said profile messaged me and demanded to know why I was viewing his profile as an alleged Dominant, telling me if I had a sub woman that I wanted to be trained by him, that he was full up, and suggesting that perhaps I was giving free rein to my secret sub side by viewing him. My reply to him was instructive, and he devoted a journal entry to ranting about it.
