Ok- I did not call the pharmacy.  I popped 400 mg of ibuprofen.  I feel like my hands and feet will fall off today.

BTW- every month we go thru the ringer trying to get the rxs figured out.  9 of them.   I did not notice till it was too late- but the depression pill should have 60 tablets in it- and there are 30.   ouch.  Too late to complain about it tho.

Are you asthmatic? Asthmatics aren't allowed ibuprofen, but I can't remember why.

No.

I am on 2 blood pressure pills-  2 hormones, (prostrate, and thyroid)  3 depression pills, and a sleeping pill.

NSAIDS or over the counter medications thin the blood. If you are on blood pressure medications, this could have an effect you might be best not to have. They are also harsh on the liver and stomach in higher doses, when taken too often or with some people. They can be dangerous.

Now, call the pharmacist and doctor.

Call your pharmacist, it's not that difficult.

Have you double checked and made certain they did not double the strength and that is the reason there are 30 instead of 60?

I believe the reason why the ibuprofen is contra-indicated is because it is an anti-prostaglandin drug. Prostaglandins cause inflammation and also are involved in the mechanism of menstrual cramps.
The problem is that not all prostaglandins are "bad" and some are involved in blood pressure control by causing blood vessels to dilate whereas others protect your stomach lining.
That is why ibuprofen bothers the stomachs of some people, it isn't that the medication is harsh per se, but the mechanism of it inhibits normal protective processes.

btw: They derive their name from the prostate gland because they were first detected in seminal fluid.

edit: typo
