Status: offline 		I don't know in what context the OP was phrasing the question, but here are the thoughts that came to the forefront of my mind after reading the questions and responses so far.

No one can know, of course. But my guess is that the world will not be a better place 10 years from now. Aside from seeing so much negativity in existence in the world, from what I've heard described by different economic pundits, the economy is going to take a long time to recover. And greed still exists. Then you have environmental issues. I wonder if we (as global citizens) will be able to make enough changes before that tipping point is reached.
