I know we all have wonderful stories to share about the joys of being on collarme.com but has anyone ever used any of the other BDSM personals websites, besides alt.com and fetlife. If so what did you think? Would you recommend them? Thanks.

I've tried Alt.com and that's how I was introduced into the wonders of BDSM. It's okay if a lot of people are looking at your profile. That way you don't have to pay to look at other profiles and write to them. Otherwise, you hafta pay. I'm not on Alt anymore. I've also tried Fetlife.com. That's totally free, just like Collarme. I love their multitudes of groups. Rather than having forums based on Master, Mistress, sub/slave, health & safety etc, Fet's groups are based on different interests and so on. I love Fet, BUT searching for people on Fet is not nearly as streamlined and detailed as it is on Collarme. I'm still on both Collarme and Fetlife.

I used to frequent Bondage.com up until a few years ago. Met a few people from there - one who became a casual play partner of mine for a few months. They had a pretty vibrant forum section much like the one here at CollarMe without the overly aggressive moderation that has often been a hallmark here. The only reason I came over here to check out CM was because they had several huge system crashes over there that illustrated their inability to keep timely system backups. I pop in there every now and then. It is primarily a pay site but allows non paying participants with reduced site privileges. They never made it a totally pay site for the same reason I suspect CM has never been pay only - the sites would wither and die.

Yes, I met my Owner on Informed Consent, in the chatroom, and we've been together for nearly 2 years :-D

I'm not sure that 'dating' on internet sites actually works, but sometimes a random conversation can develop into something more, which is how I met both my Doms.

I've done better on OKCupid than any other kink site. There's a massive supply of kinky Londoners on there.
