Hi Lurch I think the question here is: what exactly does your practice of foot worship engage that concerns you? I am not a dentist--so my knowledge is very very basic here. It's my understanding--based on my parents' experiences having root canals--that the purpose of the temporary filling is to protect the tooth until the permanent crown can be put on, and this temporary filling (and crown) exists to keep out things like food which can irritate the tooth and promote further bacteria and decay. if what you are concern about is bacteria from the foot--that should not pose a huge a risk. But from my understanding, the bigger issue right now to your tooth is preventing that temporary cap from coming off/coming loose before the permanent one is put on. So in that case--if your activity involves the insertion of toes deep into your mouth in an aggressive fashion which might accidentally hit the temporary filling, it may be advisable to wait til the permanent one is attached. Normally I'd say "ask your dentist" but I can understand if you wouldn't want to
