My religious beleives affect every part of my life even my relationships. They are simply part of who I am and why I look at life the way I do. It dictates what I do and how I do things. These are ways that I relate Wicca to M/s or D/s relationships.

I look at the Goddess and the God and I see a a Dominate couple.

Being a Goddess is a state of mind.

It has given a respect for nature and all that it holds. For life and death, love and loss.

I celebrate the sexual polarity of nature.Rain is seen as the male fertilizing the lands;the nuturing earth is seen as the women. Females are respected as equal(somtimes higher ranking)to males.

Personal sexuality - is valued and a prescious gift from the Goddess and God. It should be enjoyed responsibly and without petty manipulation weather I enjoy a mongomous relationship with Phoenix or a poly relationship. I also enjoy exploring aphrodisiac plants and sexual rituals and rites.

The three-fold Law - I will not dominate through manipulation, nor will I seek to do harm to someone else.

Wiccan Rede-I will do what I want as long as it does not harm anyone else in any way.

I will treat my body and any others as a temple. I will not obsesse over flaws but maintain health and balance of myself and any in my care.

Blessed Be,
Phoenix's Nika

Actually, in most religions that I know of, it is NOT okay to do any of these things.  It is PEOPLE who twist and pervert religion to their own ends.

It's also people who invent the religions.  Religion and spirituality, in my mind, are NOT by any means synonymous.  I believe that it is quite possible to be both very spiritual and anti-religeous.

In the truest words he ever wrote, in fact possibly the only true words he ever wrote, Marx said, "Religion is the opiate of the masses."  Of course, that might be because they hadn't invented television yet, but I digress.  I largely agree with what FLsubmalecd wrote about religious organizations, except that most wars are born out of economic factors.  But, religion is used to justify them and sell them to the people who do the actual fighting and suffering and dying.  These are not perversions of religion.  Religion itself is, rather, a perversion of spirituality.

Great first thread topic, LaTigresse!

My path is based on Pagan beliefs, and is the core of My very being.
I read, research and respect other paths and beliefs; always striving
find common ground and understanding between people.  We all have
different experiences, perceptions and expectations; all of us view the
Higher Power in a myriad of different ways.

One very wise saying comes from the Theosophical Society,
"Creeds disappear but hearts remain".

Blessed Be,

I would say that my religious beliefs are a combination of lots of influences. Recovering baptist, jewish, methodist, zen, buddist, tao, indian beliefs, healing herb and crystals. So in all that usually just makes me confused.

Hello, my name is ShiftedJewel and I'm a recovering Baptist too. Now days I lean more toward Druidism. Trees seem to be able to carry on more intelligent conversations then most people I know.

I am a very spirtual person who is into spirtuality and meditations and also astrology but this thread is an eye opener for me..being a true sub all my years i always thought subs were the more spirtual and dommes were more matearlistic in life and i reached to this judgement because all the dommes which i had met in my life whether online or in real dint showed any intrest in spirtuality..Everytime i started talks on spirtuality i never found one single domme intrested in the topic..generally i found them to be very matearlitsic and all my life i thought i will never meet a lady who is a domme and has a spirtul leanings too.
Everyone has a different meaning for spirtuality but in general it has to do something to be nice to others and also being caring for others and i always thought submissive people have more of those qualities then dommes  though i could be wrong here ..for me submissive gives away their control and everything they have whlie dommes grab everything including control from a submissives so every law of nature makes me think that subs are more spirtual then dommes though i could be wrong here too..
Reading some views on religion and spirtuality i will like to mention here that i think religion is the covering or husk of a fruit while spirtuility is the real fruit and spirtulity is not an event or ritual but it is the inner path to oneself and ones meeting with the creator-the god..
my views might not be appreciated by few but it was reallly great to know that  sub can find a domme who is spirtual too.. i think i was  wrong and i am happy to be corrected and well i love to be corrected too..lol..anyway i would love to unerstand and intearct on the similar subject and also astrology.. love you all..

ShiftedJewel,

If you lean toward Druidism, look for a book called
"The White Goddess" by Robert Graves.  The book has
an entire section devoted to the tree lore, tree alphabet
and tree calendar of the Celts.  www.llewellyn.com

Yes, there is a fundamental belief in most religions that stresses
the importance of good deed toward fellow human beings and
non-violence except in self-defense.  This concept is also known
as "The Golden Rule".

I am very spritual,I dont feel that I belong to anyone group example:Catholic.

Infact I really believe that WE are our own God.I have faith in Myself to do the right things.

We pray for strength, and we are strong...did that come from God or from ourselves believing we can
be strong.
We pray for change and it happens...again an act of God or Ourselves making it happen.

The praying we do makes us strong by giving hope and courage. And when it all works out...We give the credit to
someone else.
