I adore him for all his conservativeness:) Politesub that is

How can he be a con?
He is always civil.
He never pouts.
He does not call people names.
He does not condescend.
He is not arrogant.
When he is wrong (which is seldom)he admits it.
When he is right (which he often is)he does not gloat.
He never comes to a discussion unprepared.

Well he is a british conservative, different kettle of fish to a lot of american conservatives. Now tho, im gonna stop talking about Polite because he isnt here to respond:)

Not that I think all cons are bad, Im rather partial to one very special one and he is the perfectly wild gentleman and makes me glad to be alive on a regular basis.
I do try to take people on a wait and see basis, and the shortage of them on this board is sad, but I have the greatest respect for those who show the characteristics I like in most people.

There is, obviously, a great deal you do not realize.

FR:

Margaret Thatcher did not ‘snub’ Sarah Palin
By Nile Gardiner World Last updated: June 13th, 2011

In the past few days a number of hugely misleading reports have circulated in both Britain and the United States alleging that Margaret Thatcher snubbed Sarah Palin. It all began with a blog post in The Guardian claiming the former prime minister had refused to meet with Mrs. Palin on her upcoming visit to London, on the grounds that she was “unworthy of an audience”, and quoting an anonymous “ally” of Lady Thatcher.

...

I have spoken to Lady Thatcher’s Private Office regarding the story, and they confirm that the attack on Sarah Palin definitely did not come from her office, and in no way reflects her views. As a former aide to Margaret Thatcher myself, I can attest that this kind of thinking is entirely alien to her, and that such remarks would never be made by her office. She has always warmly welcomed like-minded figures in the United States, and has in the past met with numerous US presidential candidates and political dignitaries when they have visited London. But at the age of 85 she is now able to receive very few visitors at all.

There was never any snub of Sarah Palin by Lady Thatcher’s office. However, there has been a great deal of mischief-making and unpleasantness from sections of the liberal press in a vain and futile attempt to use Margaret Thatcher’s name to smear a major US politician.

In light of this thread, I believe the last paragraph bears repeating:

However, there has been a great deal of mischief-making and unpleasantness from sections of the liberal press in a vain and futile attempt to use Margaret Thatcher’s name to smear a major US politician.

There is, obviously, a great deal you do not realize.

Due to the act that you are an arrogant, name calling, condescending, uncivil pouty person who has never admitted an error, then you must be conservative by your own definition.

Sarah Palin: The Sound and the Fury

...Early in the 2008 campaign, when John McCain’s aides discovered that Alaska-size gaps existed in Palin’s general knowledge (among those previously unreported: she had no idea who Margaret Thatcher was), they from time to time would give her some books to read in hopes of improving the candidate’s learning curve. On one such occasion, Palin accepted the books, set them aside, and for the next 25 minutes was held rapt by one of her three BlackBerrys.

Eventually, an aide asked, “What are you working on?”

“I’m reading these great e-mails,” she said, “from the prayer warriors.”

I think the "Pee In A Cup For Welfare Benefits" thread got nixed by the Mods because he was calling Dark whats-his-name a very nasty graphic name. Then Hill, I think it was, posted  "that was the name he used for me" and then I posted that  "it was the name he used for me".  Later after that I couldn't find the thread.

I won't repeat it because I don't use no f__kin kind of ass (beast of burden) language like punk or mother.
