FR: I've got to agree with Sanity. Most of the left (as opposed to simply left-leaning) are threatened by and hate Palin because of what she stands for, by her very existence. In fact, I'll even further and say that "hate" is an integral part of their political and personal makeup. They wouldn't be who they are without it. It marks their souls, their actions and their words on a daily basis. They generally espouse "tolerance", but only if you believe as they do. Otherwise, you are a subject to hate-filled speech consisting of ridicule and calls for the expulsion from the human race. I do think it's a personality issue, and is tied up with insecurity, narcissism and envy. [8D] Enjoy. [8D][:)] I'm pretty busy and won't be able to get back the the forums much over the next week. I think many of these threads get posted to bug people who really like her I could be wrong about that, but there are as many sadists on the left as there are on the right, and they know that just mentioning Palin will get certain posters foaming at the mouth to defend her honor. It is quite amusing to watch, really.

It kinda goes to the adoration of Sarah Palin, really. She throws "red meat" out to the base, they love her for it. She learns like a trained seal that this makes her money, so she does it some more. And she convinces those who love the red meat she dishes out that she is just poor wittle woman, and those big mean liberals are just pickin' on her. I have no problem with Palin, because I know she will never hold office. I find support of her very amusing. My brother has a big crush on her, and he defends everything she says and everything she does, and I love to tease him about it because... well... it is so fucking easy! There is this desire to stick up for her because she is an attractive woman in their minds. It is a bit humorous because if she was not bangable, they wouldn't give a shit about her... which makes it even more humorous for me to read the defense of her. She is not the most stupid woman in the world. She knows how to translate the desire to fuck her into money. This alone means she has a small amount of brains. She is going to be 50 in a few years, which means she will probably not be a viable candidate anymore, because when women hit 50 they go through menopause, and most men do not think of them as "hot" anymore. I predict she will go away by that time. I also think she is aware of this, and she is trying to make hay while the sun is still shining. She had a choice, be a serious conservative politician like Kay Bailey Hutchinson or Senator Snow, but she chose to get a reality show. It really demonstrates what her real agenda is... padding her pockets. There is nothing wrong with that, but I believe in calling a spade a spade
