Israel's desperation to keep a majority Jewish population and to steal Palastinian land to form a greater Israel has caused it to cross many boundaries that the world condemned South Africa for.

It also claims sympathy for every Israeli death while killing a significantly higher proportion of Palastinians themselves. It bleeds every suicide bombing for its blood lust while happy to assassinate what it calls Palastinian militants with air to surface missiles, ignoring the fact they they also kill many innocent civilians in the process.

Their army is happy to murder peace campaigners, yet it has only found guilty and imprisoned one Israeli soldier, who just happened to be an Arab.

The list goes on and on but the USA refuses to condemn Israel or claim to have any control over Israel, even though Isreal is bank rolled by the US. Is it any wonder that Arabs equate Israeli terrrorism as US sponsored or that the invasion of Iraq was significantly influenced by the American Jewish lobby?

Israel's policy of engrandisement and an eye for an eye has made it blind.

I'm not going to condemn them, but I sure as hell am tired of supporting them. What a immense drain on our resources! If it were up to me... I wouldn't give them another cent. Its time we let them fight on their own.

ARGH! The thing that upsets me the most is not simply the fact that they are denying Israeli residency to the Palestinian spouses. It's how insanely difficult it is for Israeli residents and citizens to get approval from the Israelis for West Bank/Gaza residency (unless of course you're an Israeli Jew and want to move to a "legal" settlement).

It amounts to a refusal to recognize those marriages. You're spouse can't come here and in (literally) 3-10 years there might be a slim chance you'll be allowed a pass to be a resident on the Palestinian side.

To head off the pass:
Please do not claim the United States makes it similarly difficult for spouses. The United States will not prevent you from joining your spouse in their country. The United States also has a turnkey system for foreign spouses (whether in another country or here illegally) to receive visas provided your household income is mildly above the poverty level.

can i believe what i'm seeing here? A story that shows how the state of Israel denies human rights, that has impinged on the american mind? How did that one get past the censors?

America's support for Israel has to be one of the most destabilising forces on the planet at the moment. i would love to see Israel forced to actually use diplomacy to solve its foreign policy challenges, as opposed to doing the equivilant of saying 'im gonna get my big brother onto you........and he's the richest person on the planet, with the biggest guns and the loudest voice.....and he's going to say its all your fault.......so we'll just live here, thank you, oh and have those mountains there ta......and btw, we can have nukes but none of our neighbours can.......any problems, go talk to our lobby team over on capitol hill'

IMHO, no human being OWNS any land on the earth, it is claimed--Mother Nature is the ultimate holder of the deed--to deny another human being the right to live somewhere because of prejudices, is in My opinion--arrogantly unacceptable.
 
To deny another human being the right to be with who they love, care for and want to be with is barbaric.

Two things:
1. My family immigrated to the U.S. so it wasn't my forebears that screwed the Native Americans over.
2. Unlike Israel, I don't think America is still kicking Native Americans in the balls. I recognize things are not perfect, but some attempts are being made to help those Native American peoples - sadly, in an all too modern American way. Certainly, Native Americans are allowed to intermix with the rest of us, so that's not an issue.

BTW, I don't think the solution to the Israel versus Palestine problem is to remove either population - the solution is some kind of peaceful coexistence with neither side attempting terrorism or expansionist bullshit against the other side. I see that as a reasonable goal. Alas...

Please clarify, because in my view that's exactly what Israel is trying to control - one people intermixing/intermarrying with another. Rights under Israeli citizenship may also be an issue in the controversy. Anyway, intermixing is what's being disallowed - but here it is allowed. I wouldn't get too hung up on one word considering there's much bigger fish to fry in terms of America's destruction of indigenous peoples.

But hell, it didn't start with Americans either - blame the Spanish too! and the original English and French settlers. There's plenty of blame to go around.

well , as an Israeli , I can say that the situation is a bit more complicated then what it seems , but Im not going to go into that. what Im saying is that Israel has given the world any reason to get mad at its policy with the palestinians. the thing is that Israelis are concerned with an everyday strugle for life under terror attacks and missiles being luanched countlasly at citys. the paletinians are not living in any better conditions and everyone is suffering.
As it seems right now I cannot see any end to it and no solution. Israel is fighting to keep it self as a jewish state , and the paletinians are trying to marry arabs from the west bank , making the situation even more complicated. Its hard , Its brutal , but this is politics and life in the middle east.
Believe me that Israel is a country like any other country , bad to minoritys, with too much politics and not enough human filling, yes , such as any other country.
LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION

ooh ... the USA is giving Israel about 8 billion $every year , preaty much nothing next to what it spends on stationery for DC alone.

Oh come on.  Have you heard of the Bureau of Indian Affairs?  Read about it.  Or just cut to the heart of the matter and find Cobell v. Kempthorne.  The documents are all over the internet.  (It used to be Cobell v. Babbitt, then it was Cobell v. Norton, and now it's Cobell v. Kempthorne.  That right there should give you some idea of how long the government has been dragging this shit out.)

I never cease to be amazed by the cock-sure and utterly uninformed opinions you see expressed on Collarme.  People, why don't you do less jabbering and more reading?

I must admit you have an open mind, even though I believe it was you who called some of my remarks "fucking offensive".

Israel put up a wall, seperating Palestinian farmer's houses from their chicken coop, seperating them from their jobs and water sources, and now they sell the water.

On to the American Natives, a bounty was put on buffalo, what do you think the reason was ? Starve them out. That is attempted genocide. A friend of mine is Native and takes it seriously, goes to the powows and the like and I was surprised to learn that they learned how to scalp from the White Man. Yes, for a time there was a bounty on them too, and instead of carrying the whole body, well, try staying alive without any skin on your head.

What it boils down to is anybody in power in the world did not get there by being nice. They did not get there by being fair. Unfortunately they did not get there by being honest either.

One of the biggest things bothering these people is the fact that the bounty on Bin Laden did not result in a natiowide manhunt, many Arabs cannot be bought. Arabs are actually an honorable people if not fucked with.

What really gets me is the gall they have calling suicide bombers cowards, and calling bombadeers heros. Certainly a logical Man does not accept that, but look at the vast mass of people who do.

We are in deep shit.

It's called war ... the winner gets what they want, the loser goes home, providing the winner allows them to still have one.
 
There's nothing fair about this world, and nobody owes anyone anything ... because they were there first, or they have this claim or that. Claims are only as good as the military might that backs them.
 
War decides it all. If you don't want to get fucked over, don't lose at war. That just is, what it is.
