When I discovered Lindsay Hollister, who stole the scene in Get Smart as Max's fat dance partner, starred in her own movie, I had to give it a shot. It was my morning movie. You know, the kind of movie you put on to watch while you are doing other things. It is a campy "tongue in cheek" comedy that leaves no cliche untouched and nothing is sacred, not sex, not Hitler, not being fat. . . and it was a joy watching Lindsay ham it up in the B-class comedy. It is about a fat vampire that combats evil alongside a gay underground resistance fighter trying to stop Hitler's conquest but he hates her. Meanwhile, she hangs out in a brothel, fucks Hitler, fucks the guy the Vague (fag) has a crush on and disembowels someone that wouldn't share a submarine sandwich with her. It was good low-ball fun and perfect "morning movie" type of flick.

Blubberella (2011)

An action comedy centered on an overweight woman whose footsteps cause explosions and whose dual swords are used against anyone who makes fun of her.

^ well, not just another vampire movie. Not all vampires have ninja talents other than Blade. Not all vampires are constantly so horny they sleep with Hitler. It’s not a bad movie but it’s not a good movie either. It was funny every time Lindsay was on screen and it dragged when she wasn’t. This ain’t no hit like Lesbian Vampire Killers which was a smash up / laugh a minute with British humor akin to Shawn of the Dead.

You guys have seen Lesbian Vampire Killers haven’t you? Unlike the “morning movie” Blubberella which is only speckled with tasty tidbit from our star, for Lesbian Vampire Killers you will want to sit down and watch every frame because it is fast paced, jam packed with comedy, overflowing with bloody gore and stuffed with sexy tits and ass. I've never met anyone that watched it and didn't get a laugh out of it. If you haven’t seen it, check out these links.

Lucy . . . I hope you enjoy Lesbian Vampire Killers as much as I did. The screenplay is pretty damn funny in a British sort of way . . . like Shawn on the Dead meets Monty Python with a helping of lesbian vampires on the side.

As far as the fat vampire goes, I think Lindsay is charming and sharp as a tack (wish the movie had been). I first noticed her in Get Smart when she stole the dance scene from the two leads. She has a great screen presence and the camera really loves her. Turns out she is a dyed in the wool veteran that was a regular on Boston Public and did numerous other guest appearance on Bones, ER, Strong Medicine, Days of Our Lives, Nip/Tuck, Law and Order: SVU, Cold Case, Scrubs, My Name is Earl etc etc etc. A working actress in deed.
