Acephale -> Pubic Hair Removal (6/10/2011 7:07:44 PM)

Does anyone have any products they can recommend?

SylvereApLeanan -> RE: Pubic Hair Removal (6/10/2011 7:28:13 PM)

A very sharp (read: New) razor with comfort strip and shaving gel.  Any brand of either will do.  I also like my Lady Remington Wet/Dry for trimming and touch-ups.

I use the Optima by Emjoi. Lovely "electric tweezers". Purchased mine on Ebay a few years back & I don't need to buy razors or creams anymore.

I used to use the Magic Powder in the silver can, availble at WalMart, CVS, Walgreens, etc for less than 2.50 a can. If you do try this, make sure to keep it on the outside, not on the inner areas, as it can sting.

Ouch, but the electric tweezers are horrible, I mean alright for the legs but on other parts just horrendous, I rather go for the waxing...

And exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate... Ingrown hair is painful and ugly!

LillyBoPeep -> RE: Pubic Hair Removal (6/11/2011 4:21:01 AM)

exfoliating is SUCH a good thing.

and you know, i used to think those "comfort strips" were a whole bunch of BS, until i couldn't find my normal brand and bought a card of Bics WITHOUT them -- never again! =p

windchymes -> RE: Pubic Hair Removal (6/11/2011 8:43:08 AM)

I like Nair for bikini area.

Of course, I do look at my body and think, where the hell would I put a bikini.......?[8|]

LMFAO I adore you:) Im the same, lol

Personally for me? the foaming gel, hot water, hair conditioner and bic quatrro..nair is the devil itself
for the man...hot wax and then tweezers...magic powder on testicles is a hard limit.
Weve had tons of topics over the last few years on shaving/pubic hair removal with some funny and some horror stories, that could well give you a laugh AND be informative.
Enjoy

I'm with BurntKitty - I use an epilator. Mine can remove the tiniest of hairs, so I don't have to go through the horrible itchy stubble phase before I can use it again.

In between sessions I use an exfoliating mitt to try to minimise the number of hairs that get caught under the skin.

LadyConstanze -> RE: Pubic Hair Removal (6/12/2011 3:53:50 AM)

OK Bunny, which epilator? As the Epilady is a tool of the devil, in fact it is so bad that I put it into my "box of tricks" as a torture instrument...

There are those pads, like very fine sandpaper that are great for maintenance between waxing appointments, waxing is a double edged sword, not stubbly and the hair grows back sparser and finer, but you have to let it grow to a certain length for the wax to get a grip and I HATE that...

If she's a painslut, you can just tie her up and pluck them out, one by one.

You might want to check this product out....Kim Kardashian has been on TV touting this TRIA laser home hair remover...There are other videos on this page that show the item in more detail.

needlesandpins -> RE: Pubic Hair Removal (6/21/2011 1:44:07 PM)

i use an epilator by babyliss. it's very effective and way outstripped it's cost compared to what i would have spent on waxing. for the more delicate area i use wax strips. for underarms though i just can't bring myself to rip the hairs out so still use a razor there.

janigrey -> RE: Pubic Hair Removal (6/22/2011 10:25:51 AM)

I use the magic cream - not powder -and they make a sensitive skin type as well....
stinks horribly - but really works.

I've found that I need to go 12-14 minutes for my bush - not the suggested 9 minutes though. I imagine everyone will have a different time to get sweetly smooth.

If you regularly remove body hair with tweezers, it stops being uncomfortable after a while.

Ask me how I know.

Health.

If you can spend big bucks, get a 'No No'.

UberBrat -> RE: Pubic Hair Removal (6/25/2011 2:23:06 PM)

Has anyone used the laser hair remover?
It looks like it might be worth a try ...

Aswad -> RE: Pubic Hair Removal (6/29/2011 11:33:57 AM)

There's quite a few laser hair removers on the market, but they're variable quality. Ask a reputable dermatologist?

sunshinemiss,

Not a whole lot to tell, other than I have a wide selection of tweezers and use them for various things, including all sorts of hair removal.

You can get some nice, very sharp ones at DX which do wonders if you end up with an ingrown hair, by the way.

Those are the ones used for surface mount components.
