I've been considering the question for some months now whether or not I am a switch. I've done some Topping and so on and found out it felt just as natural to me as being a sub. So now I'm corresponding with a gentleman who will likely be my first submissive, and Daddy is mentoring and advising me with this. My question is:

When you first realized you were a switch, was it hard for any of you to balance your submissiveness and your Dominance? I mean, I'm sub to Daddy and will be Domme to this man, and I'm considering how I will handle this when we are all three together. The gentleman knows he will be my first sub and we are presently in negotiations and working out the details. I'm curious as to how any of you do this.

For me, there wasn't this "awakening" moment when I realized I was a switch. Even during my first encounter with BDSM over someone's knee I thought in the back of my head "I wonder what it's like on the other side". Luckily for me I got the courage to find out. I have not, however, really been in a situation with both my D and my s-type. I either had one or the other going. These days I'm with someone who isn't really either, but does both very well (we are still figuring out how he manages that....).

P.S I <3 your signature. ^.^

I'm a person who is given to extremes, so I've never personally seen it as a balancing act so much as the mood I am in.

But.. that's just me ;)
