I think we all have done it a time or two, it is not like it is always easy to follow what is written on here. We are not writing professionally edited and publishable stories in this forum, and sometimes it is really easy to read things by expectation of what should come next based upon reading mostly professional quality writing.

But I have no excuse for demanding an answer to a question from the wrong poster last night[:D]

Aw, if only I was a perfect person I could be so above everyone else!

Its all okay, it worked out, the OP got his answers, we got to laugh at each other, and no one went hungry and no puppies died.

NuevaVida -> RE: Informing and Asking (6/21/2011 9:38:30 PM)

What?  This isn't professional writing for publishing?  Have I been posting in the wrong forum all this time?????

[8D]

And hey, it's our imperfections that make us so unique and cool (as a people in general).  It's all good.

Sometimes it's better to just wait and see what transpires. The opening post would seem cut and dried to ME........IE, No, she hadn't asked a thing.

I was post #2 and my answer by the end of this thread remains the same as back then - No, telling him she needed a drink was not actually asking for permission to get a drink, and if he didn't reply it wasn't that big of a deal.

Then everyone started questioning him on why his slave had to ask permission to get water - when he never said she needed permission for that.

But confusion happens - people misread and go with it.  I've been known to do that myself a time or two.

Hey...... I said rife.....not post number 2 :)

I'm a habitual late poster......Call me lucky..... well, call me Lazy then.

Without documented evidence.....how'd you know no puppies died?? (And I was a little hungry at the time) :)

LOL!  I knew what you meant, and often I'm later to post as well.  I can read more of the follow up information that way.

Try going back to reading from the beginning. He wasnt clear until questions were asked, repeatedly.

I did. I did again as the thread developed. I did even after it had gone *so* far.......and I did again before I commented.

After one hour, it was fairly clear........

agirl

It was clear to you. The fact that it wasnt so clear to others may tell you something.

I dont live the "I have to have permission to blink" world. The man prefers a woman who can think for herself.

I also tend to want to know information before jumping right in and saying yes or no to a question.

That was really awful. I haven't seen a *you haven't answered my question yet* posed in such a horrifying manner:)

That was badly done Julia, very badly done indeed.....
Ooo, i mean Emma. Oooer Mr Knightley. Does it show that *Emma* was on TV this weekend?

You do realize, don't you, that some "micromanaging" has nothing to do with one's ability to think, but the control one enjoys exercising over another?

Comments like this always seem insulting, since I know some wonderful people in such control-based relationships, who constantly deal with these types of comments.

I loved that line... Jane Austen should be writing all of our posts... it would be very well done, indeed...

Because everyone knows that a dominant in possession of a fortune must be in want of a submissive that knows her send button from a hole in the ground

tazzygirl -> RE: Informing and Asking (6/21/2011 10:08:15 PM)

Actually, yes, I do know. I've been in more than one relationship. Dont assume.

To be fair, threads like these do not lend that view of micromanagement... it is a very bad example of it.

The OP said he did not enjoy it, and I think for them to be very successful the dominant has to want that sort of power, or it isn't going to work because for the dominant it is nothing BUT work.

tazzygirl -> RE: Informing and Asking (6/21/2011 10:12:11 PM)

Sounds to me... and this is just my opinion, julia.. that she wanted a Daddy and he wanted a submissive.

You do realize I am a daddy's girl sort of submissive... and I wouldn't behave that way, "daddy's girl" does not equal immature.

Erm, that's why I don't leap in....and in fact, the more he clarified the less people understood..or the more they continued their own misconstructions.

There were more than one or two people that seemingly *got it*.

So, what has blinking got to do with this.....or indeedy *thinking for yourself* ...or indeedier......what has it got to do with me?

I tend to blink at the recommended rate.....and haven't had any success with NOT thinking for myself.

Is there some beef that I'm oblivious of?

agirl

tazzygirl -> RE: Informing and Asking (6/21/2011 10:15:25 PM)

Yeah, there is something you are oblivious of.... but its ok... you will be fine. [;)]

Oh I get that.  But I find the statement in general implies a woman who is micromanaged can not think for herself.  Maybe it was just in the wording, but I don't think statements like that are kind toward those who are in control based relationships.

I was in possession of little more than a mattress stuffed with lusty lustiness of the most proper kind :) I can't be expected to think beyond that for at least 3 weeks.. it's called Austin-Drop, dontcha know :)))

I may have to partake of a cucumber and ground pepper sandwich to sustain me throughout......... But only a home-made one of course......can't mess around with a Costa sarnie! That'd be nawty....lol
